How come there’s no armor mod social arena playlists? We have Fiesta, Super Fiesta, Snipers, etc… A lot of the special rotating playlists are based off of weapons.
What if we had a social playlist based off of armor mods. When you reach level 5 in Warzone you can select an armor mod, it would be based off of those. An example would be an armor mod Fiesta, each time you spawn in you would have a random armor mod.
A social arena playlist with just enhanced sensors and speed boosts. It would essentially be super spartan abilities. You can jump higher, run faster, shoot better. Basically be the Jason Bourne of spartans. Just some thoughts on a couple examples.
What are your thoughts on this? What playlist would you create based on armor mods?

Yeah it would be fun to try out, nobody else thinks so though lol.
It’s not there probably because all the armor abilities of Halo 4 weren’t liked very much.
Sounds awful to me. I’m all for you being able to use it it customs. I’d rather not see it in matchmaking though.
They did something like this in Halo 4. Remember Rockets and Rails? That was based off of the Jet Pack Armor Mod. There was also the one playlist (I can’t remember the name right now) where the objective changed every 30 seconds; I remember one of the objectives was to get assassination medals and all players had active camo.
The armour mods only really have a subtle difference though, like yeah cool, I spawned with an extra frag grenade. Or yay, I have extra back up ammo. My spartan charge is slightly further and I do slightly more melee damage. I can regen shields while sprinting. It’s an interesting idea but I think the reason fiesta and super fiesta do so well is because of the massive changes in gameplay. You can spawn with a nornfang and the answer and have a sick bit of gameplay, or you could spawn with a splaser and a plasma pistol and be stuffed. It’s just a huge variety which armour mods arent designed to give.

It’s the same armor abilities you can select in Warzone. It’s not armor lock or something like that.

It slightly changes the game play which keeps it a little more balanced in my opinion, plus you won’t know the armor ability you will face. Can make one v one encounters a lot more interesting.

Why would it be awful? Hard for me to understand without givning some reasons why.

It may not be awful to you. That’s absolutely fine. We just have different opinions as to what would be fun. Personally I would rather see a Team Objective social playlist instead. Like I said, I’m all for having it in custom games, just don’t make me play it in matchmaking.
If there is enough of a population that wants it. Throw it in the mix. I don’t care, but it’s not something I will be playing regardless.
