Social Area on Infinity instead of lobbies

Now 343 has social areas in the campaign so this isn’t to far fetched and not trying to duplicate anything other games are doing. I feel we should have a social area in Infinity for our Spartan IV’s. Here’s what I was thinking, feel free to add your opinions.\

Location: Infinity Hangar (whether the one used in the cut scenes in the campaign or even one used form Halo 4 for the Spartans suiting up.

NPCs:
Spartan Palmer: In charge of Wargames aka Warzone and Arena playlists. Maybe even have it where you see your spartan board a pelican and fly out the enter the intro for the playlist.

Some type of interactive device/ Scientist/NPC: To change the way your spartan looks armor, emblems, stance, assassination.

Roland: for Theater and file browser menus/options

Ships Weapon officer Lt. Austen: Handling req weapon and vehicle unlocks (see your collection here)

AI/NPC: Purchase Requisitions

Nothing Massive just an area for x number of players to interact while waiting to join a game or decide on what they want to do, this would alos help a small amount with LFGs.

I would definitely be all for it, would give players a deeper sense of immersion in the game. It sounds similar to Destiny, but I think it could work very well with Halo.

Have like Lasky or a robot voice (whatever they can get) to announce over the intercom daily and weekly messages as well as other snippets. I’m not trying to take away from any other games just make it more like an actual Naval vessel of today would treat it.

it would be cool if done well, but really we have enough destiny crap in halo 5, we don’t need any more

Nah. Lobbies are more convenient. Save that kinda stuff for RPG’s/MMO’s.

I would like to see this happen why not have a hub area we look at a big ship the we never actually get to go on or look around so this will give us a chance

It’s not really destiny crap that is just the first place most people experienced it.

Ok yeah would love that!. Bit of a mix up from the usual interface. Although due to the 25 million people who now regularly play Destiny i reckon a lot of them would just shout “Copy cat”

I don’t like it, just sounds like extra loading screens.

An optional HUB area might be fun, with a shooting range and so onz

Lobbies should still exist, and allow you to just join people using the social area too. But it wouldn`t hurt anything.

I like the social area idea.

Honestly. I would have like this. And you can go to the War Game deck to spectate your friends

I would honestly love to see this, me and my friend have been thinking of this for a while!

Something to give a little more interaction with the actual characters other than the campaign and give some more insight on the lore behind them, or atleast funny lil stuff.

ive thought that would be an interesting concept in halo, but it would feel too destiny. Especially considering that bungie made destiny

They tried this also with Mechassault 2…wasnt that great.

Except destiny isn’t the first company to do it, Second there are already social areas in Halo 5. Never played Mech Assualt though so not sure how its population compares to halos.

Look I would be all for it if they gave us interesting things to do in said social space, explore around, drive vehicles, play mini games, access waypoint or another in depth stat tracker, browse popular forge maps, maybe arrange custom games with strangers…but I have a feeling if 343 did it it would probably end up just like destiny’s social areas which would pretty much be a bunch of spartan 4’s dancing or acting like “lets just get our REQ packs and get out of here so we can go grind some more”

This is a great idea! And there can be a parkour area while we wait. I used to play on some Minecraft servers like this, which happened before Destiny’s release.
