So you're going to update the stat section of this site, right?

No offense, but compared to Bungie, your stat collection on this site is abysmal. Bungie has arguably the best stat tracking for their game of any website. There will be a void in Halo if 343i does not come up with something comparable.

Agreed unfortunately. The site is slow and the interface is clunky. Game history doesn’t work and lol for arena stats.

Would have been nice to know that “recent games” wouldn’t be functional this weekend…

Over time they will continue to update it to make it better, they are still learning, they don’t even need to do this so no need to take advantage of free things.

343i’s is piggy-backing off the success of Bungie. They owe it to the community to continue to provide the amazing service that Bungie did.

They don’t owe anything, you think they do because you are greedy and want the features.

Have some patience.

Yeah, actually they do.

Any sort of Stat Tracking for Halo 2, 3, ODST & Reach were ALL optional by Bungie, they were all Bungie-site exclusives.

They don’t owe us anything but are choosing to do so.

Thank you, for stating the obvious, like I didn’t already know that.

My POINT, is that Bungie built up their free stat tracking to the point where whole communities developed around it.

Of course, 343i is under no obligation to do anything, but that is not what I am saying. They owe it to the communites like HaloCharts.

I think 343i knows the importance of features that Bungie implemented over the years and their influence upon the Halo community in general. I have a feeling we may see the return of these features or similar features in the future.

The site is lacking features, and from my understanding if 343i doesn’t make a API by the time halo 4 is made we will see a huge drop in population.

If I am right they have just started implementing stats so you know everything is being sorted out.

No, they haven’t just started doing stats. The stats here have been around for months, improving albeit slowly. As the OP states, they aren’t even close to Bungie in this regard and with the lead time they had to develop it, I’m quite sad that they have come up so short.

Simple things like getting the medals right should be expected. If you go to your stats and look for “All medals”, you don’t see any of your normal sprees, perfections, etc. The commendation view is bad also. If I’m playing Multiplayer, I want to be able to check on my multiplayer commendations, not have to sift through all of the firefight and campaign stuff.

To those saying “Bah, 343 doesn’t have to do anything” - I strongly disagree. The ability to continue to build stats is one of the reasons I keep playing. Setting goals and trying to achieve them. Without that, Halo loses quite a bit. Not to mention the best in the industry support for things like gamebattles, clan games, community challenges and similar.

C’mon 343, we know you can do it.

Since we are talking about stats, a nice thing to add to the game history feature would be to give the possibility to filter it by gametype (like shotty sniper, elite slayer,…).
It can help every player to know better what are his weakness and strength, and then to seek for improvements. What do you think? Is it possible?

I’m sure 343i will get stat tracking sorted out sooner or later; and 343i don’t mess with the halo wars stat tracking on the now retired official halo wars site. just leave it alone.

Part of what i love about the Halo series has been the stat tracking. So I’m not impressed with the stats on waypoint but I’m sure 343i will get it together.
