Canonically, Mark IV and Mark V are obsolete, not that i’m complaining that they’re returning, I’m just wondering why SPI Armor isn’t a thing yet? I mean when you, 343i, have taken over we’ve seen more mention of Spartan III’s (who wear SPI armor) than bungie ever attempted and I’m very grateful for that since they’re my favorite group of spartans. And have done them justice might I add besides the whole “Listed as KIA” fiasco in the forums a while back.
Now some of you may try and counter my question with, " SPI was weaker than MJOLNIR" and that’s true, but we’ve seen multiple cases where ODST armor was implemented in the games and no one has questioned bungie nor 343i. And don’t say that, “Spartans originally wore ODST” that may be true, but what about the Recon helmet worn by Dare? or one of my personal favorites Nightfall? Worn by regular non-augmented humans?
Please 343i, you can add odd new armor like Tracer, not hating but it is odd looking, but don’t forget the armor that’s heavily mentioned in Lore but never has made an appearance, this is your chance!

So? SPI is stronger than simple ODST and nightfall armor, Why can’t they make a MJOLNIR varitant of SPI?
So if we did get an SPI armor, what is it gonna look like? All we know about this armor is from Ghosts of Onyx and it’s a novel so we don’t really know how it should look like, right?

I’m not saying they can’t, just that the older armors that weren’t originally GEN2 aren’t simply touched up a little.

I completely agree, I just get people on here who say "well SPI was weaker than MJOLNIR so they can’t add it, But ODST is perfectly okay

While I do love SPI armor, it would be very out-of-place next to Mjolnir armor, which is better in nearly every way. True, they had ODST armor in Halo Reach, but I think that that armor was a Mjolnir variant of ODST, like Buck’s from Halo 5. After all, ODST and SPI don’t even support shields.

How about this?!
It’s definitely a possibility. Spartans only wore ODST-looking armor, it wasn’t actual ODST armor. It’s just MJOLNIR that has an ODST design. I would love to see some SPI armor, get them to bring out the lore of the early days.
If they do put SPI in the game, it’ll probably have a lot more visible undersuit.
