What types of material is this made out of? It looks very well done! Tbh, this doesn’t look like the default variant due to the colored bars on the rail. Is this the Whiplash variant of it? This looks so sick. I’d love to have one of those just for kicks.

It is handmade out of EVA foam, and it is the Whiplash variant! It’s super light, and weighs about 7lbs. Thanks!

Aw man that’s awesome. The whiplash is pretty much my favorite gun to use in Halo 5, and this looks like a perfect recreation. Well done!
Did you harden it at all or is it just the straight foam? I tried making an Arclight out of EVA too but it bent at the front (the rail part).

Ah, I used a lathe to embed a 1" aluminum tube in the middle. Was a bit tricky to do, but it works like a charm, keeps things straight. And yeah, it’s bare foam.

You think PVC pipe would work as well or is metal the way to go, cause I got loads of PVC in the basement.

Sure you could. I just sharpened my metal tube on the lathe, kinda drilled it into the foam with the lathe, removed the excess foam, and assembled it. I built my gun in 3 pieces so I could do this method.
