so xbox has opened up the multiplayer!

hey so Xbox has changed the way the xbox works with multiplaying not just across platforms but also between other xbox’s.
LANing halo and i think other games is currently not possible without a network and xbox live gold but now (from what i gather) it is possible to LAN games.
i really hope 343i will open up the game so i can LAN halo 5 with my friends locally without the internet and xbox gold.
not just the campaign but also FORGE? is that possible? as i understand forge needs online which i don’t understand why tbh can it not run on the console?

That wasn’t what the announcement entailed.

They announced that they were dropping the developer restriction governing that gaming within the Xbox Live has to stay within Xbox Live. They’re giving developers the opportunity to be able to allow Xbox Live to interact with other consoles (PS4, perhaps for third party titles if they’re willing to, which I think they would be) and gaming services on the PC where applicable/fair (like Steam and Origin)

Basically, you can have situations in the future where the Console Wars aren’t a -Yoink!- contest on a article comment section.

Being a first-party game, this doesn’t really benefit Halo 5, and it’s certainly not stopping them from adding LAN because that’s not something MS is disallowing.

it’s an interesting move, I think.

Microsoft be changin’ the future of gamin’ and -Yoink-.

yeah thats really exciting! this is something i’ve been talking about with friends for sooooo long (cross platform multiplayer) this would have been HUGE for games like destiny and now the division and others.
its about damn time. now we just have to hope that the developers place it in

Nice

your facts are flawed

Brothers! It is time to expand our horizons and join with the others to form a truly powerful and reliable gaming network.

this is the future this is THE UNIFICATION OF GAMER’S! no more petty struggles no more division we are all one we have been united (at least in the console regard people are still going to be at each others thoughts about which games they play

We’ll still probably comments where extreme Playstation fanboys are flaming extreme Xbox fanboys and vice-versa.
