So I found a used copy of Halo Reach LE in a shop near me the other day. Bought it instantly (£5 bargain!) and found an unused code for the elite officer armour in the case- IE the foil had not been touched at all. Logged onto my 360 and typed the code in excitedly, to find the code apparently doesn’t exist.
Anyway, I’m not expecting to be able to get a code or anything, the game is four years old, but can codes like that expire or have I been led into an elaborate ruse? Just wondering. Likewise, seeing an unused code in itself was enough of a surprise in a limited edition this long after the launch, so it’s not like I’ve missed anything. I only wanted it anyway fro Halsey’s journal, so I got my full £5 worth!
Edit- before Xbox 360 live goes down, are there plans to unlock the Elite Officer, Ua/ Multithreat chest, Yellow/ Blue flames and such for everyone akin to Halo 3’s Recon? It would be a nice gesture before XBL goes down and this content is rendered fully unlockable. jut a thought.

Well as much as that would be awesome for those who missed stuff.(even for Halo Wars Preorder stuff I missed)
And Halo 3: ODST Johnson
I doubt it will happen. Maybe if we get lucky then that would be amazing.
And yes code like that can expire. Sometimes a date is put onto the code. Sometimes its not.
Oh and that reminds me that I still halo a unused Halo 2 Xbox Live code. xD That thing is old.
