The Campaign is an offline or online experience, so I don’t really understand what OP is getting at with “online only game”.

XBOX Live won’t be online forever, you know. And if the game requires XBOX Live, once it goes down, it’ll become unplayable.

Online-only can’t be done right on either consoles or PCs (unless, on PC, servers are player-hosted). Online support for consoles never lasts forever. When they go down, what are you left with? An $80 (Canadian) paperweight.
