So why nerf the ar when it’s finally useable?

I just don’t get this nerf the ar trend it’s finally in a spot where it’s not useless so why are folks asking for it be useless again?

I just don’t get it

People don’t like the fact you can challenge people at BR effective range.

I think the gun needs a wider spray pattern at extreme ranges.

Beyond that I feel it’s perfect

Leave the AR as is!. 20 characters

Yeah people really want absolute BR supremacy unless you have a sniper, it’s so weird. Having an AR be at least partially usable at lower BR ranges gives more of a fight rather than the over decade old BR wins in almost everything scenario.

I agree. The only thing I’d be open to changing is the fact that it can descope enemies. Right now its a little too easy to descope and suppress enemies at distance, which isn’t exactly its intended role. But the damage and range are fine.

I, personally, think that the only issue with the AR is effective range. They should increase the spread so that you can actually move without getting shot by it at all ranges in 4v4. As it is now, on the smaller maps like Bazaar and Streets, it’s essentially usable if you can see someone and that sucks.

Agreed. It’s a bit ridiculous you can shoot people across BTB maps with it and completely suppress snipers. But aside from that, I’m happy it’s not completely useless anymore.

The AR does not need a nerf. It’s perfect.

Because it has a very low skill ceiling so it invalidates most of their sandbox. I would have preferred they keep the AR the same and just buff the map pickups, but whatever.

at least put the ravenger and the commando back to what they were or at least close to it adn then the ar wouldn’t need a nerf

Well… I agree with that but… nerfing the AR obviously isn’t the solution.

The AR could use a slightly larger spread cone so at super far distances it isn’t very accurate, but otherwise, it’s definitely the best AR I’ve used in any Halo

It’s just totally weird that a spray weapon has such good effective range and kill potential but your sidekick which is tagged as a precision weapon is utter dogwater in comparison.

That is def a fair point, if it had ever so slightly more bloom on the AR and balance the sidekick to be at least as usable as the sidearm in Reach it’d be way better.

needs to not have a headshot multiplier or ADS

yes it is, it out preforms everything else in the game. Halo was all about headshots and shot placement. The AR in infinite is nothing like that

Agreed. The effective Range is too long. I like the AR but it should not outgun a BR on mid-long range.

At least i hope for AR and BR playlists like in MCC.

ADS is totally legit but a Spray weapon should never have headshot multi.
But then again, literally EVERY GUN in Infinite is designed with headshot multi.
BUT THEN AGAIN AGAIN, AR is the current only Spray type weapon, while other full auto weapons don’t have the same sort of spraying behaviour.

AR is definitely an anomaly in the equation that is Infinite’s sandbox.

Because its too effective?
As it stands the thing shreds way too well from mid-long range
It needs a reduction to its RRR and a slight DMG nerf
OR
It needs a reduction to its RRR and get rid of the headshot modifier

I would like to assure you that you are thinking straight lmao. I think it’s just that the devs are listening the wrong people. This is just for weapons that were good but got nerfed cos apparently they were “overpowered” I don’t properly know too much about how the Ravager and if that was strong or not but the other stuff was fine I thought the Commando was fine but apparently not.

But what I’m trying to say is people are going to complain. Its how us as Halo fans are, we criticise.

We can only hope that they don’t listen to the minority of the game and make everyone else suffer while they just don’t seem to care about the update and the stuff that they have done and probably move on to another game days after.
