So who is the Didick? No spoilers please.

Just a general gist of who he is.

I dunno lol. Time for me to go study the wiki!

The Didact’s Halopedia entry. It’s spoiler free

Um. haha… It’s Didact just for starters. Didick sounds like some really bad Rule 34 slashfiction name… shivers

But he’s basically the supreme commander of the Forerunners.

Not the Didact, the Didick.

> Not the Didact, the Didick.

Oookay. Nvm then.

His name is the didact get it right. He is the commander of the forerunner army and has been “locked up” in Reqieum (is that spelt right?) and at this point we don’t know exactly why he hates humanity but there are some theories that may boarder on being spoilers.

> Not the Didact, the Didick.

There is no such character as the Didick. Either someone gave you bad information, or you are trolling. I hope it is the former.

It seems I’ve been trolled by some faulty sources. Thanks for the clear up, friends.

Be careful of trolls. If someone hands you some Halo information that you haven’t heard of, do a search on Halopedia and/or google to check it out. If nothing comes up, it’s probably false information.

I think that the Forerunner Saga of books and the Halo 3 Terminals may have insight into why he doesn’t like humanity. I have no clue what either of those are about other then the fact that Didact (not didick) and The Librarian are husband and wife or lovers or something.

Thanks! Now I don’t need to look it up.

As of now, there is no visible reason for the Didact (either Didact) to hate Humanity. Hopefully Halo 4 explains the sudden change of heart.

I’ve been kinda wondering if there’s the slight possibility that they’re talking about the old didact when they say he hates humanity… that would make more sense because as you said, there is no visible reason as of now.

I just finished re-reading Cryptum, and it makes note several times that the Ur-Didact did not hate Humanity, especially after he found out why they were doing what they did. And of course, the Bornstellar-Didact has even less reason to hate Humans.

edit: forum fail.

It’s cause his girlfriend likes humans more then she likes him. I’d me mad.

Oh and also… there is more then one didact?

Yes, there are two Didact. I linked the Didact’s Halopedia page above, you can read about it there.

Yes the Ur-Didact it’s Bornstellar. The original Didact evolved him or something (I don’t remember the term) and it basically turned him in a warrior forerunner and gave Bornstellar his memories.
