All I hear is how auto aim is broken and so over powered so where can i find the settings? Like seriously where can i find the aim assist in the settings?
Iv tested my aim assist, now mine must be incredibly low because when I tested I get a small and I mean the smallest little bit of resistance when trying to pull off a target, this gets less and less noticeable the higher sensitivity you go.
There is no auto lock, there is no bullet curve, my crosshairs does not auto follow people at all.
Show me the settings where I can adjust my aim assist⌠because what half of you are claiming isnt a thing or even close to
Iâve played on pc and XSX and the AA is terrible on controller for both. Definitely the worst aiming in the series. I have no clue what they have done but it needs fixing.
Iâm on console, where apparently aim assist is OP etc. But I cant even find the slider or whatever in my settings, where can it be found?
Because if PC players are moaning over the aim assist I have currently then thatâs definitely embarrassing.
Wasnt aware of any bugs for it though, I just assumed the AA is just very weak which is okay as I can aim anyway but hearing all this OP and nerf talk I must be missing something in settings
Still waiting for someone to tell me where to find the aim assist within my settings.
Until that happens I cant do anymore testing, and if there isnât an ingame option to adjust it then itâs quite clear people have been massively over exaggerating it.
Especially since auto aim doesnt do what half the people claim it does, maybe there is a way to crank it up to insane proportions but by default the auto aim isnt noticable unless youâre trying to pull away slowly off a non moving target.
I think most of the people who are complaning about AA being too strong are either new Halo players, M&K users using a controller for the first time, or M&K users who are not a good as they think they are blaming their losses on AA players. (We seem to have a near equal number of threads bemoaning each input device)
I do think the AA is at least nearly strong as it was in 5, at least in tracking bots on local games, online latency is a whole new layer of issues.
The AA seems to break at inconstant points or it releases abruptly creating huge swings in sensitivity. Most common issue I have had is once the enemy shield breaks and I try to flick to their head , but end up rapidly over aiming to the top of the screen.
Well even compared to other games that have AA in comparison to halo I honestly cant even feel it online, I had to go into a custom match just to be able to test and be sure on what it actually does. And all is does is slightly snag when going to aim off someone and itâs not even noticeable on a moving target as if they move you dont get the auto aim itâs only if you pull off.
I dont get why people are claiming we get far bigger hit boxes, bullets curved, crosshair follows players etc. Its honestly ridiculous what people are making up.
I honestly do think its sore losers at this point.
But yeah latency is bad, always get worse when crossplay between platforms is involved tbh
Go look at the accuracy data. Its on reddit and has even been posted on this forum. If you canât have that kind of accuracy on controller, then really its just you. And I hate to say this but you just need to get good.
I just want to find the god aim assist the pc players are crying over. Because its certainly not default.
Once again those stats mean nothing. It does not show amount of bullets fired, which weapon, rank, map etc. So cannot be used as an argument. Please take time to actually read the post or dont bother commenting.
It basically doesnât exist, the aim assist in Halo Infinite is very slight, Iâve played other FPS games with crossplay where the aim assist would basically lock-on to enemies for you and follow them across like 20% of the screen, in Infinite it might follow them for about 50 pixels on my screen, if even that many. Itâs just PC people finding something to complain about to justify the fact that they donât want crossplay with console any more than we console people want crossplay with PC. Option to disable crossplay needs to be on all playlists, not just ranked.
Aim assist DOES NOT EXIST on consoles. I have no idea what people are talking about when they say aim assist is too strong. Like, Iâm reasonably good at the game, but Iâm struggling to land most of my shots now because it doesnât track in the slightest.
You can tell it doesnât exist in the game because if you ADS with the Assault Rifle onto a Warthog, it does track like ânormalâ aim assist. But only when you ADS onto the vehicle. So theyâve clearly changed something. I honestly feel like people saying aim assist exist are just dumb and donât know what theyâre on about. That, or weâre playing a different game.
Because half the stuff I see them claiming just straight up isnt true which I why I wanna find them in the settings to see if there is a way to break it. But by default like I explained in th OP isnt how all these people claim.
I am really thinking its salt. As for crossplay i never want it on because of latency and hacker issues. Whether its gears, DBD etc. It can have a big impact on those things.
The aim assist in Infinite is weaker overall than previous Halos. The âissueâ you see people talking about is due to crossplay and with how Halo plays. The AA that is there being a huge advantage when it comes to a high ttk game with a weapon like the BR. It still leads to a huge accuracy advantage over mouse without AA. Plus, the factory settings are less than optimal leading toâŚ
The issue people feel is not just that the AA is weaker but the controller setup works differently and has many options that need to be adjusted. On lower sens the AA works great. However high sens seems to hurt it. It seems the key is to tweak all of the different settings to get it just right so that you can still turn fast and get the best AA. If you go on YouTube and search you will find many top players/pros showing how they have set it up and explaining the thinking behind each setting. Once you get it set up it feels much better and youâll be getting games with 50-60% accuracy.
I play on PC with a controller, and the aim assist is very low, think lower than it was in the flights even. I have been playing through all the Halos recently on MCC, and can say for sure that Halo Infinite is no where near the AA of the other Halos⌠and I actually like that.
Seriously, it is so nice to not be in a gun fight with someone and then someone else pass between us making my game shift in their direction throwing my aim completely off. This happened consistently in MCC (was annoying as hell because I would target an elite and a grunt would run by pulling my aim). Had it once happen during the flight, but now realized, I have not had this pull at all during the beta.
Iâm not quite sure what youâre saying or getting at. I do apologise as you wrote a fair amount but Iâm not quite sure what you mean.
Like I stated, aim assist does not track, increase hit boxes or make bullets curve. All it does is increase resistance of pulling away from an enemy, this is so small itâs not noticeable on any decent sensitivity. Not to mention if the player youâre aiming at moves you do not get the aim assist, it only works when youâre pulling away. If you stand still and have a player walk past your crosshair it does not move in the slightest.
I will never look up guides though, I use what I find to work best for me. At default I was hitting that 50-60% accuracy. But like I keep telling people the accuracy stat doesnt take into account the weapon, bullets fired etc as a comparison. Once I changed my settings and button mapping iv hit better accuracy and itâs not due to auto aim
Exactly. PC players that claim âgodlike controller aim assistâ are trying to mischaracterize the m+kb advantage over controller in order to prevent the controller population from disabling cross-play because they want to have more easy/controller opponents in their lobbies. And if thatâs not the motivation, then what do they care if we controller players donât play with them?
A game like Halo with its TTK is immensely harder on M/KB for the average player then it is for a controller. Sure those god tier aimers who play professionally could beat out a controller. As we stand M/KB average accuracy is around 35-45% while controller is around 50-60%. I have played on both for extensive hours. If you fix the controller settings a bit and tweak the deadzone it becomes so stupidly easy to land every shot.
There is a reason why most streamers and even pros are switching over to controller, it is just better for this type of game where you have constant up and down movement and a long TTK. It makes it 10X easier then trying to track that long with a mouse.
There is already ranked play disabling against M / KB and guess what the top 3 guys on the crossplay ranked option all use controller.
Is the M/KB better in most FPS games? Absolutely not even a close resemblance. But in this game at this point in time saying M / KB is statistically better is just a plain wrong statement.
The data that people are looking at is ranked. It is showing that data at each ranked level. This is not just thrown at a wall. You can look at just the top 10% players on controller and m&k. You can look at just the middle ground of each. You can look at just the worst. The thing that doesnât change is a 15-20% better accuracy when using controller. People in the top levels of ranked, whether on controller or m&k are using the same weapons and play styles. Itâs BR start and that is the majority of what is going. It is not a secret what is leading to this accuracy difference that continues through ranked no matter the level. The aim assist is definitely different and feels bad at first compared to old Halos. However it is 100% there. You can deny it all you like. People that have used both inputs know different. Professional players that have used both inputs know different.
