I guess he was just chilling watching the Covies, that think of him as a god, throw his planet into a sun?
“Don’t worry dude I’ve got another one”
No but really, where was he during Season 1 Spartan Ops, surely he would have been there and not just sat idle for 6 months after his failed attack on earth.
> Probably in Forerunner custody if the Epilogue is meant to be him making a speech in the present.
That speech is also in one of the Terminal videos.
We have no way of knowing where that Slipspace portal led to, or if he even survived it. He could be stranded on a barren planet, or floating somewhere in empty space.
As for Chief and Del Rio
Chief is on Earth for whatever reason. But mainly, the man deserves like a year off from duty at this point.
Del Rio was placed under arrest during the Campaign for abandonning the Chief and not trying to stop the Didact. Apparently command didn’t take too kindly to it once Infinity had gotten back to Earth.

Considering that the Portal was made for composed memories, and the nature of Forerunner portals, it is likely the Didact was filtered out before he got to Requiem.
Where he went then, is debatable. Leading theories use the Epilogue as proof that the Didact is in custody, taken and standing trial before a council of Forerunners, where he tries to justify his actions.
If he was on Requiem after Halo 4, he wouldn’t let a primitive beast like the Sangheili be messing with his Prometheans or meddling with the Librarian. So its safe to say that he wasn’t there.
The Universe forum has better discussions on that, and existing ones.

It is not.
