So where is the new content update?

Shouldn’t it be out by now? I feel like it should be.

No. And there’s several threads about this you can check out.

But to be more specific. The update should be up around 8-9am PST

Uh they don’t usually come out till noon pacific time. And new reqs don’t drop until 500 PM EDT.

Unfortunately, 343 never specifies the time of day that the update releases. However, I don’t think it will release at least until 343 makes it to work today, which I assume is 8am PST. So yeah, probably between 9 to 12 PST. Then you have to download it, so sit tight and prepare to do something else for the next 10 hours or so.

Updates usually come out between 8-10am PST, that’s between 4-6pm UK.

It has always been like this, but still there’s multiple threads about “what time does it come out” every month.

Soon™.

But in all seriousness, there wasn’t any word on when exactly it would be released. I would agree though that 8am PST sounds about right.

Dude chill haha.
It’s like 10.40 in the UK haha, the guys on that side of the pond won’t even be awake yet!
Give it a bit, it’ll come out today.

Would be nice if their was some sort of timer though.

Xbox needs to do better with their releases/updates etc. To give people specific times in advance and let them pre-dl when possible so they don’t have to wait hours and hours.

I have the game looking to get in Firefight but I wanted to introduce my friend to Halo 5 FF but once it comes out he has to DL all of that which considering the total time is what 7 days at least 1 day will be him getting to DL it all which makes it 6 days.

They should really allow a better solution to these huge sizes. Let us pre-DL them or something. So we can jump in day 1.

they could place a timer on the livestream?

Putting a timer on content set to release places them in a potential position of liability. Not so much since it’s free content, so to speak, but it can be a bad business practice, and I doubt they want to give consumers another reason to complain about what they do. Not having it ready to release as soon as the 29th hit does seem to be at odds with the whole “play for free” ploy they have going on. Those who are trying it out are introduced to their practice of “The content can be released at any time on the day it is announced.” It can be an annoying business practice for some. I’ve got a friend who works nights and we were both looking forward to getting some Firefight in before he had to bed for work. Discovering the content probably wouldn’t be dropping until something like noon EST (guessing) pretty much threw a wrench into that plan and excitement.

I mean, none of the updates have been released earlier than standard business times in relation to PST thus far. Not sure why you and your friend would get your hopes up for that to completely change out of the blue.

4 to 7 hours from now.
