So..Where is everybody going?

I see threads of people stating they are quitting Halo 4 everytime I’m on the forums. So its sparked a question of mine. Where is everybody going?

Nobody’s really quitting, they’re just threatening to.
Like children.

I’m sure people will say “CoD! They left for CoD!”
But I have been apart of the CoD and Halo community for some years now, (without a doubt strongly Halo oriented) and have noticed quite a decrease in population on Halo and CoD games alike.
While CoD does contain more players, their player-base has subsided considerably.

Indeed there have been many “threateners”, but there have been a steady decrease in numbers for the top two FPS games in recent years.

Very Interesting.

I would assume that it is due to the large variety of other good quality games out there.

Nobody is really quitting? Go look at the Population statistics LMFAO. Maxing out at 70-80k peak daily now. Pathetic. 80K and 78K peak users on this past Friday/Saturday, the most heavily populated days of the week.

WarCraft III and away from my Xbox all together.

I’ll only return when a none motion tracker gametype shows up.

I dont know about anyone else but ive been playing xcom and thinking about starting up dark souls. Waiting for the competitive playlist and if thats a flop idk what ill do.

Waiting for the next installment of Spartan Ops. We dont play much Halo Wargames anymore as the negativity our son recieved for playing one handed has killed WG MP for our entire family. On occasion we do get invited to play Customs though, and that brittens up his day for then all he has to do is try to aviod the Mantis {wish we had those maps} or pilot a warthog while trying to knock other players off the track.

I pretty much quit. Halo 4 is just… mediocre. Im playing Battlefield 3 and Halo Wars with friends. That or League of Legends. With Halo 4 being as un-fun for me as it is, as well as my 8+ other friends who have been playing together for years, we feel like refugees without a home. Its really sad actually.

I hate to be that “person”. But max payne has never been known for mm. Halo for most people is all about mm, and for a big franchise that also has a big multiplayer the numbers are not that good.

That’s not right, Halo is known for its story and co-op.

Halo Reach/ Halo 3

I think after spartan ops on Monday, I myself will be putting down halo 4 and going back to unreal tournament. I’ll wait for the TU.

Stop using population as your support for people quitting -.-
Just because people aren’t playing it at a certain time doesn’t mean they’ve all -Yoinking!- quit. I haven’t played in a few days, and I’m sure others are in the same situation but it doesn’t mean we all quit! Btw, are you only on these forums still to laugh at the population and Halo 4’s faults? Now THAT’s pathetic.

That’s not right actually. Actually yeah, that’s not right at all. After bungie realized how much the multiplayer was enjoyable on LAN for CE they came out with Halo 2 with a STRONG matchmaking experience which kept people playing that game UNTIL Halo 3 came out.

Might wanna take a look at this video:

For you maybe. Halo for me is always a game for multiplayer for me and custom games. And both them have been killed in halo 4 for me.

I like the halo lore but Multiplayer is more important to me in halo games.

No, but the average peak population dropping each week does.

> Where have you gone?

Tribes Ascend is awesome.

While I never have, and most likely never will, threaten to leave, I do find myself playing other games more often (Dragon’s Dogma, botmatch in Black Ops 2, soon to be on Dead Space 3 and A:CM).

I still come back for Spartan Ops though, I love the new missions and another season would be very welcome imo.

That’s the best thing about opinions, you can say Halo is known for its multiplayer, I can say its known for its story. No one is right! Haha
