I’m dying to continue the story, but I hate to get behind with MP stats.
When it comes to gaining XP/unlocking, what do you suggest and why?
All I know is I will be playing Campaign first, then Multiplayer. I’ll be marathoning and taking my time with Campaign but I will be jumping into MP first day still.
I would suggest starting off with the story! It will get you ready to be the best in multiplayer unless you start on easy difficulty
When I get the game, I’m going to complete the campaign as fast as I can, (so that I am not spoiled by online chatter), and then get to the real fun in multiplayer.
Campaign, no question. When I’m done with that, I’ll play a bit of customs and multiplayer, as well as SpOps with friends.

Hah, GOOD. I was feeling like a bit of a story nerd for forgoing War Games in favor of playing through the story, but it seems I’m in good company.
I might play it on easy just for the story, then go back and do Legendary (assuming the difficulty system is the same) after some War Games.
I’ve heard that some players have changed their Gamertags to phrases that would completely spoil the story if you encountered them. You should probably play the Campaign first to avoid any potential spoiling from those trolls.

do Dawn on legendary to nab that weekly challenge. and then any other level on heroic + thunderstorm to get another weekly challenge. that’s what i’m doing

I will jump directly into the campaign. <3 Waiting five years to continue Chief’s story. 
But I will play WarGames afterwards. Spartan Ops gets its special time on Wednesday.

Is that for this week only? Just curious where you found that challenge info. I’ve read/played Halo a ton, but I’ve never really moved to forums/internet based community stuff.
