So where are all those Tenrai changes 343 bragged about?

They need to completely revamp the progression system, instead of xp, you get credits and get rid of weekly ultimate and replace that with a seasonal rank progression. This helps the casuals gain some quality cosmetics. My brother-in-law works (and is married) so he only plays occasional at night. He can’t really get much content due to the way the progression system is set up, it is completely unfair

What does Tenrai even mean? Why is it in Halo?

Same reason Halo 3 had a Hayabusa helmet. It’s cool.

Kinda weird that you took me seriously right up until you ran out of arguments and started spamming emojis.

But you’re right. I’m absolutely crushed that I proved you wrong repeatedly and now the only thing you’ve got to fall back on is “you mad bro?”

Tenrai (" 天来") means “heaven sent” or “heavenly”. It’s in Halo with the well-advertised introduction of “Fractures”, alternate timeline and reality additions to the Halo experience that sit beside the canon, while not impeding it. It’s just another way to be able to express and enjoy Halo, and presents a “What If?” scenario for several things.

I’m not the one losing sleep needing to jump on the bandwagon trying to make myself feel special :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

You’re a sad little troll :man_facepalming:

Anyway, good luck with me living rent free in your head :+1:

I genuinely don’t know what this means.

Now we’re hitting all the classics. We’ve got the emoji spam, then the “You made bro?”, and now we’ve got “rent free.” Can we mix it up with something newer? Like “touch grass”?

I agree. The armour looks horrible. Doesn’t even remotely resemble any Spartan aesthetic.

I mean, that’s what makes it a Fractures armor. Described as “Samurai armor from a strange realm.” From some of the Lore on it: “Popularized by selfless samurai peacekeepers in the early days of the Covenant invasion. HIKESHI kabuto are now worn by shogunate enforcers responsible for extinguishing the flames of sedition and rebellion.”

Give fed up playerbase a little bit of attention.

How does that increase the cash grabbed?

Higher player retention and people might just be happier to buy something, when they get a little goodie once in a while from the good guys (232j ofc).

I mean, yes. That’s true. But I feel like you’re missing the point the other guy was making. He was talking about unfriendly practices toward players designed to get as much money as possible. What you described is the opposite: a player friendly change made in the hopes driving up retention and average revenue per user without trying to force them to open their wallets.

True it was TL;DR. Sorry.

I’d guess you can combine both though, friendly and unfriendly practices. Maybe some bait and switch, but I am no business psychologist.

I just hope the game gets some love from 343i soon and builds on it’s potential. As it is I don’t feel that it’s a great game, but for me it’s the best 343i Halo experience I’ve had until now.
