So where are all those Tenrai changes 343 bragged about?

Just sounds like you want everything to be free. Sorry that’s not a thing and never has been. Development cost money, servers cost money, they gotta support it somehow. They just need to work on the pricing. But the Tenrai is a prime example of them listening to feedback by how vastly different the free offerings are in the event pass.

I believe one change is also that you will basically always have at least 1 event challenge active until you finish all of them for the week

indeed before everything that was added in was just boosts and swaps adn were proably in the store so now its much better then the older version if they do this to normal pass its gonna be intersgint as theres two factors in play folks that haven’t reached what levels they put in for the pass adn those that are pass the levels they have planned or have it all completed

Oh right. The servers do cost money You right.

THE SERVERS ARE FN BROKEN!!! WE CAN’T EVEN GET WORKING SERVERS AT THE BARE MINIMUM! PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR -Yoink!- DUDE!

Ah yes, the multi billion dollar company needs money. That’s why they need to monetize literally everything and force this “you don’t have to pay” model of “it’s free but a complete pain in the butt” battle pass and events. Completed the same challenge “Win Fiesta” at least 4 times with no progression.

They also need to work on not repeating the same coating and charging us twice for basic red.

Like they have to be way more creative than hey we are going to sell you a basic red color and call it Scarlet wake. But lock it to one Armor core.

Than we are going to rename it Scarlet Skies and sell that in a whole different bundle and lock it to one Armor core… And rinse and repeat.

Like maybe 343 should do a thing where once you buy that specific color or shade of red… It’s this crazy concept called Universal coating. That way when a new Armor core comes out… They won’t have to offer us the same.color red again cus that one coating you bought months prior works on all the new stuff.

Crazy I know, I mean Fortnite let’s you mix and match and the paints you buy are pretty universal to the weapons…

But who knows 343 may just be out of ideas and that was their best attempt at making it look like your getting tons of content by repeating Armor coating colors.

They didn’t monetize maps, modes, weapons, equipment, or playlists. You know, the actual game

Yeh well I thought about returning to see things have improved but based on this thread and many others seems likes things are still a mess.

Aside from the campaign which they’ve also priced at £50. And you think I should be grateful that this messy pile of a game hasn’t punched a hole in my wallet. They’ve just sprayed a new coat of paint onto what was already there and hacked off bits to sell to us.
I ain’t giving them a pass “because the game is free”.

I’ve experienced the content monetization system for every title. Infinite probably has the best since H2 where you were just paying for early access to maps, and everyone eventually got all the gameplay stuff for free.

H3, H4, and Reach all locked maps behind paywalls, and very quickly it was rare to play games on DLC maps. Either not everyone in your party had the packs, or the DLC playlist didn’t have a high enough population to put full games together.

Everything released for H5 was available for free, there was just a ton of grinding for loot boxes, and that came with all the societal issues loot boxes generate.

Now we get Infinite, where everyone gets every map, mode, equipment, and weapon for free. Customization being paywall’d somewhat for that isn’t a huge deal to me tbh.

TL:DR Infinite doesn’t need improving because I’m fine with it.
Forget about the server desync, cheaters, challenges not updating as well as the actual point of the thread: The tenrai event needing a rework. Yeah, all of this is fine because “game is free”

Well they do unfortantly for you, and it’s almost garuntee they’re not going to go away either. So here you go  :

What in the heck are you talking about? Everything else we’ve mentioned in our re: posts have been about monetization, and now you’re going to randomly act like I said I don’t want the technical issues fixed? Are you high?

Don’t put words in my mouth. The BTB server issues are the #1 priority to fix imo. Way more important than any revamps to the store and pricing.

To be fair, we have no power or control over which issue tackles first.

We can only react to it. I don’t really understand why we care about which issue taking priority over the other.

Do you think in the next event they’ll go back to swaps as they are putting the extra armour in this event due to them accidentally advertising it to be free?

Before 2/3 of the Tenrai pass was XP and swaps. Now all of them past tier 8 have been replaced with cosmetics, mostly Tenrai stuff.

So assuming you could design the current event pass, how would you have it work?

Except it isn’t because the event challenges are STILL mixed in with the weeklies.

You mean the weeklies that are now way easier to get? You mean the event challenges that have had their requirements reduced/streamlined as well?

Honestly I don’t care what the reasoning is these fracture events should work like the Holiday event

Oh please. There were people ranting about how they didn’t want to log in each day for the Holiday event. Right now getting the Tenrai stuff is so pathetically easy that if you can’t do it, I genuinely don’t care.

Here’s what I got for the whole week: Get 1 Double Kill (x2), Get 10 Kills, Complete 2 Fiesta Matches, Get 10 Assists, Get 5 Double Kills, Win 1 Fiesta Match, Get 5 Headshot Kills, Get 20 Assists, Stop 5 Killing Sprees. The rest of my non event challenges are playing matches, getting kills, and earning score. Maybe I’m just getting lucky week after week, but the revised challenges are just so easy.

There is so much overlap with these challenges that simply bunching them up and knocking them all out over the course of a week is trivial. Really the only one that might take some time is stopping 5 Killing Sprees. If you think this is too much to do over a week, I just… don’t… care.

They really need to find the right dynamic between earnable items and the store. Not liking what I’m seeing right now.

You mean how they responded to feedback and added in more earnables to the event? You don’t like seeing that they’re making changes based on player feedback?

343 said the items that are marketed for an Event will now always be free, they never said there would be nothing in the store during events.
