So when's Our Turn?

So, We’ve waited patiently, By we I mean the people who bought the standard edition and who live in certain countries in Europe, watched everyone else get what should have been unlocked at the start and not as a bonus for people who have loads of cash to blow on the limited edition.

When will these Specializations which unfairly cap players at Spartan rank 70 unless they blow extra cash on getting these codes from E-bay or other sources be released so that We Standard edition owners actually feel like we are being appreciated instead of always marketing to the Limited Edition owners.

Before Any LE owners actually turn round and say that im not committed enough to this game to go out and spend the best part of 70 quid on this game I own all but halo wars so you guys can back off before you start.

I do not pretend to speak for everyone that doesn’t have the code but at the end of the day it is a feature that should not have been released as a perk to cap people from fulfilling their potential on this game. It doesn’t matter if it was a marketing ploy by Microsoft or 343i The fact is in places the product is faulty or services to do with the product is faulty so both companies are at fault.

I’m really curious to finally see someone from 343i/Microsoft explain why this (idiotic) decision was made. Since they are basically discriminating people right now.

I don’t think they will ever reply all they are interested in is getting their hands on our money

Those people paid for EARLY access.

You will get the specializations, just sometime later. Whoever is in charge of when those are released, should give a time table at least.

My guess is that when they originally made the game, they weren’t planning on offering double xp at all. They didn’t anticipate people boosting their way through the ranks this early. I am SR-67 and I’ve been playing since launch day, and have never used any double xp.

It is definitely being mishandled, but getting really upset about it (like some people) doesn’t do anything except cause stress, which isn’t good for you.

Ok fair enough they paid for early access, then why did most countries in Europe get screwed by the specialization code that was sent out to players who played before the 20th of November in qualifying countries… oh wait because the countries weren’t on the list that’s why. I’ve played halo 4 since November 6th and im currently sitting at Spartan rank 63 the only reason why I didn’t get the code was because of where I live, Worse of all im not the only person that’s happened to. So please explain to me why that’s fair???

Woah woah… wait who paid for “Early access”? I bought the LE I paid for “Early access” not the people that bought the SE; therefore, someone else the bought the SE just in a different country should be given the code at the same time as the other people who bought the SE in one of the promo countries. Take note that I’m Canadian so I got an extra code (which I already gave away to someone on the forum for free) and even I have to say I have no idea what 343i AND Mircosoft were thinking when they did this. Here I thought a Halo player was someone that played/is playing Halo regardless of statehood. Or was that just me?

Also BS on they “weren’t planning on offering double xp”, they are a company and a company that is owned by a really wealthy one. They plan EVERYTHING they do. They really could not “anticipate people boosting their way through the ranks”? I find that hard to believe. Human beings by nature want to be better than each other and what shows that you are better than someone at first glance in Halo 4? It is rank. It is not a hard formula to make. You take the “x” amount you get in a game and the amount it takes you to level(y to make it simple) and just write y/x and you get how many games you need to play to attain that rank then let’s also throw in time(z). Now the formula becomes (y/x) multiplied by z = how long it will take in real life to attain that rank. If 343i could not figure this out then they really need help.

People are “getting really upset about it” because how unbelievably dumb it was to exclude a large population like Europe. WHO DOES THAT? And to limit a players level depending where you live is probably one of the dumbest things I have seen while playing Halo.

Also stress might not be good for you but neither is stupidity. (Not directing it at you)

Us in the U.K were meant to get codes with Pre-Orders. Although i pre-ordered mine a long time before release and got nothing.

But tbh, I’m all good with being capped. the SR ranks and specializations honestly don’t bother me too much, we’ll get them eventually.

I’ve seen one rumour that they will unlock them after the second map pack… which is due out in February next year… this is ridiculous if it is true

Don’t hold your breath. 343i is the worst company on earth for communicating information to their customers.

Sucks to suck. GO USA.

They’ve screwed up on all fronts:

  • LE owners got immediate access, but 343i didn’t produce enough copies of the LE to meet demand, so even if you were willing to buy the LE, if you didn’t pre-order it at least 2-3 weeks before release there weren’t any to buy. I didn’t pre-order it because I wanted to buy a copy at midnight and there was no one close to me that was taking pre-orders for the LE.

  • The codes for those who played War Games before the 20th went out late, which left a lot of people frustrated, and as usual 343i didn’t keep them informed about what was happening.

  • No one else has any idea when everyone will get access. That’s just lame and unprofessional.

i gave my extra specialization code to one of the european players on the forums, you should ask one of the LE users for theirs

That is part of the problem at the moment. As the community “managers” seem to be absent at times when people ask for an answer in a normal way. Yes BSangel I’m looking at you, and yes i think I’m one of the few people who thinks you are only good for the bulletin’s. And you are doing a badjob at being a community manager.

This is one of the point where i think 343 did a good job. A limited edition is supossed to be limited. And i really applaud them for doing so.

This sadly proves my point above about the community managers.

> i gave my extra specialization code to one of the european players on the forums, you should ask one of the LE users for theirs

I’m really glad to see that the community is trying to fix a problem that 343i should be fixing right now. But at the same time it is sad that it needed to come this far. For European players to need to buy codes to be able to level up further. While players in one of the Lucky countries(USA as Always :\ ) get the code for free.

PS: Please excuse my bad grammer

Our european brothers should no longer subjugated to this. As spartans, it is a shame to see them suffer. We are halo fans, and face it, we need all the people that we can playing. Stand by your fellow brethren! And seek out the answer, for which they are rightful to question!

That’s a very fine ideal alot more people should be like that unlike this other quote of

> LV 9001 MUDKIPZ Sucks to suck. GO USA.

Its people with attitudes like that are why this community is failing

youre not missing anything operator is the only good specialization. although i agree that the entire world should have access to all the specializations

Ok to be honest im quite happy with the wetwork perk as it compliments my game style but having the option to actual progress through the other specializations would be brilliant and to get above rank 70 as well so that (not pointing fingers at anyone in particular) players who message those who are capped and shout u suck for something that they cant help.

Most, if not all of the time. When someone calls your rank or KD out and say you suck. Usually they’re a horrible player, or someone who thinks KD means something and camp with a sniper the whole game.

Gallo you have a very good point there, at one point back in halo reach i became obsessed with my KD and rank so i did everything i could to get it up… i turned into a -Yoink!- and i always got bad reviews from those matches. Ive calmed down now as i play for fun and dont give a crap about my KD. Hilarious now i get alot of good game messages afterwards.
