Remember when Frankie stated that he would have a large, detailed explanation about MCC and what went wrong?
Yeah what the hell ever happened to that? Where is that? Not only have we gotten zero explanation but the game has been completely and utterly abandoned by 343i. We were also promised the game would still be supported after Halo 5’s launched. Yet here we are over two months since and MCC has not been touched or even mentioned. The “limited time only” CE playlist is still up, Infection is still missing and the game still unplayable for many, many people.
Why do people still support this kind of behavior? How is this acceptable?
We might be being a bit unfair to 343i. They got a lot of backlash over MCC and they tried to remedy it. Then Halo 5 came out and they’re receiving just as much hate for it. They’re being burned at both ends trying to fix things that made the community unhappy. Cut them some slack and we will be rewarded for trusting in them.
I would be surprised if it ever did come out, the plan seems to be pretend MCC doesn’t exist until the short fan memories fade.
As for why people support this behavior, simply put fandom is a yoink of a drug. Its hard to angry when you invested so much time and money into a franchise. Short of a clean break its really difficult for most people to apply the same level of scrutiny they would with something they aren’t as attached to.

Wow, I thought I’d never see someone else saying “Let’s cut 343 some slack” in regards to the MCC. That makes me a little hopeful for this community.
