Since BTB & Grifball just got some new/remade maps, when will Arena get some iconic classics?
I’d ideally want one unique old map from each previous Halo such as:
Rat Race from HCE
Backwash from H2
Epitaph from H3
Anchor 9 from Reach
Haven from H4
Feel free to suggest your favorites that you think would be good in H5’s Arena.
I wouldn’t mind a remake of Turf from H2 being added in. That one amazing remake of The Pit from H3 would be nice, too. Same with that stunning Citadel remake by no god anywhere from Halo 3.
Citadel might not work as well in H5, but I believe the other two would.

Turf’s elevations would be ripe camping for ground pounds, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The Pit was in H4 and it wasn’t special in my opinion, but I wouldn’t mind if it was added to H5.
I think the Citadel as is could actually work really well in H5.

It’s Turf, yet thanks to Forge it’s sterile like a hospital’s operating room or a micro chip manufacturer’s clean room.

Thanks for the compliments but I wouldn’t even want High citadel in matchmaking and I’m the one who made it! Lol. It’s just not a good map for halo 5 at all.
I honestly don’t want any remakes in 4v4 other than the pit. I’d like a whole new lineup and currently there’s not really many good 4v4 forge maps. I’ve been playing the poop out of them in test lobbies and nothing strikes me at all.
That’s really not on the community though. Same for 343 when it comes to map design. This is a difficult game to make good maps for.
Some maps that aren’t just a bunch of interconnected corridors with no open spaces and would be nice.
What happened to medium sized maps?
I would like to see The Pit, Construct and Guardian added from Halo 3. Then again, perhaps not Guardian considering Sprint.
From Halo 2 Lockout is a no brainer. Ascension and Ivory Tower could work really well too.
Also loved Boardwalk, Countdown and Sword Base from Reach
Lots and lots of potential to really mix up Arena with tons of community remakes! Would be an absolutely fantastic take on the gameplay.

I think I’d take 343 over forger maps when it comes to arena 4v4. When it comes to remakes at least, I just don’t think most of them work well with h5. The movement system has changed so much when it comes to trying to get remakes to work for them lol. I’ve got all kinds of remakes but because of the movements they just don’t play the same anymore. Better to expand maps sizes and make brand new stuff if you ask me.
To to anwser the question on why no maps being added everyday, I’m sure (or I hope so anyways) that they test the maps before just letting a random forgers map in the matchmaking sequence. They can’t just drop maps in the playlists just cuz they look good, they need to play good as well.
