So when did Halo have only a 2 player co-op?

From memory I’ve seen Halo CE:A videos where at least three players were on the campaign in the screen at all times, leading me to believe that it would come with a 4 player max co-op.

Checking the box now and it says “co-op 2” - Where did the 4 player co-op experience go?

Um, welcome to Halo. In epic movie announcer voice Before Halo 3 and it’s epic 4 player coop campaign, there was Halo CE and Halo 2 with… TWO PLAYER COOP!

Maybe you saw 3 players playing in a multiplayer map which looked similar to that of the campaign, however it was always 2 players max in campaign.

Campaign for Halo: CE was only two. The multiplayer was 4 at max.

I played Halo CE on the original XBox, campaign was always 2 players only.

They didn’t change the game engine, so Anniversary campaign is 2 players only.

4 player co-op wasn’t in Halo until Halo 3.
