So whats to come for us this fall?

Since the new weapon skins and armor skins are coming out in October for Halo 4, that means Halo 4 will go on for another year instead of a new game coming out. No Halo 5 this fall then. Will we be getting more map packs and SO season 2? A Halo 2 Anniversary? I am extremely curious to know.

We will most likely find out during E3 in about less than 2 weeks :D.

Any clues or ideas guys?

We have a halo Tv show, but who knows when that’s coming. And we also have halo bootcamp, but that is pc. So who knows.

Another potentially terrible book by Karen Traviss is a safe bet.

I wonder how that TV show is going to turn out.

I don’t really know, but we definitely aren’t getting H2A. They already said they aren’t working on it. As for SpOps, if they don’t say anything at E3, I would bet there isn’t going to be a Season 2.

I’m guessing E3 will be focused on Bootcamp (the new Halo PC game they confirmed is coming out). We don’t know anything about it yet really, so I’d be willing to bet that we’ll be hearing about that mainly.

I’m doubtful 343 has plans to continue Spartan Ops in Halo 4, and do not believe we will see a Halo 2 Anniversary, however nice it may be. That was something to celebrate the first Halo; doing the whole trilogy would be silly.

Also, I’d be disappointed if Halo 5 were announced already. The last thing Halo needs is approaching annual releases.

I’m assuming we might here about Halo Bootcamp, whatever it is. Has 343 stated they’ll be at E3? I don’t think they need the convention to announce whatever they have left to do with H4.

I heard that its some halo 3 port

Holy crap, they might not be at E3?!?! So let me get this straight. Halo Bootcamp will be a new Halo game exclusively on PC? Does that mean we will not be seeing any new Halo games or DLC for the xbox anytime soon? I haven’t been on these forums for about 2 weeks.

Lets see COD Ghosts, Batman Arkham Origins, and Watch Dogs. Its gonna be a awesome fall.

Anyone who thinks Halo 5 is coming out anytime soon is nuts. It won’t come out until at least 2015. Halo CE came out in 2001, and Halo 2 came out in 2004, a year before the Xbox 360. Halo 3 came out two years later. The Xbox One will come out this year, 2013, and then Halo 5 will come out in 2015. It’s history repeating itself.

We have the TV show, which is cool.

We can probably expect the Custom Games update to roll out before the end of the year.

But otherwise, now that 343 has their feet wet, I’m sure that they’re hard at work on Halo 5. So don’t expect too much.

I don’t know if they have stated their intentions to be there, but I don’t expect this E3 to be of any importance to Halo, aside from the possibly Halo Bootcamp project. The only DLC aside from skins I imagine 343 would make is a map pack separate from the map pass. The game tanked somewhat quickly, I don’t think much more DLC is very profitable.

But who knows what 343 have in store. I just want their focus on fixing the game.

@SensoryFour34

Not Exactly True. We still have Halo Fest, but I hope we get a season 2. 343 was raving about spartan ops as like a prime thing for Halo 4. I don’t think they’ll give up on it that soon. But maybe, we could get a throwback pack if we’re lucky. With a classic playlist.

It isn’t impossible, just unlikely. 343i has more workers on their team than any Halo game before it, in some cases more than two titles combined. Microsoft also said they have 15+ exclusives in dev right now for the One that they’ll talk about at E3 and Frankie already confirmed awhile ago that they had been working on the next Halo well before Halo 4 came out (because what are the writers and artists doing anyway?). Who knows how long they had next-gen technology available to them.

But it remains unlikely because of proximity to Halo 4’s release. Though at this point we don’t know anything so anything is possible.

I quite liked her books. I know you’ve been writing fan fiction. I hope you write a book and then we can criticize it.

I don’t think so. I don’t see a reason to do that. It’s supposed to be third-person, but it’s in a different language and the translation is weird. It says Halo 3 first-person point of view, but later it says third-person. We’ll see. I just don’t know why they would port Halo 3 to PC this long after its release.

@BeguiledTurnip I want Season 2 a lot, but E3 is the biggest event, so that would be the best time to announce it.

That would be nice. I do have plenty of ideas, but I’m a bit too lazy and prone to writer’s block to get anything concrete done. Then you have to find a publisher and that has it’s own challenges. I have to say though, you seem pretty bitter about something.

Might want to work on that.

I’d rather have 343 take their time and continue to work on Halo 4 projects instead of having annual releases like Call of Duty. I myself to expect a H2A. I am in no need of Halo 5 to be rushed.

They should pump out a boatload of content for Halo 4, launch Halo 2 Anniversary next year with full multiplayer instead of Halo 5, and then launch a non-rushed Halo 5 in 2015.

Halo 2 Anniversary should come with a pass for Halo 5’s beta

Not bitter. Couldn’t think of another word for reading a book and analyzing it for how good it is. Being a critic of something? Like a movie critic.

Well, I did give the books criticism when they released. In the end I felt they were bad books with contrived plots, bland to borderline insane characters and little to no sense of direction. I don’t really care if people liked them, I liked The Flood and yet tons of people hated it.

Thing is, I don’t need to be a published author to tear the book down. It just screams of “I’d like to see you do better!”. Given the time and resources, maybe I could. Maybe I couldn’t. Still, with everything I’ve read from the Kilo-5 saga, the next book is likely to just be another terrible mess of Halsey-bashing, poor attempts by Vaz to look morally superior, Mal and the other characters being shoved to the wayside because they actually seem to think for themselves and more faffing about on Venezia.
