PC, but it shouldn’t make that much of a difference within the context of this conversation
It makes a huge difference, Xbox series X is the most optimized version of the game with the least issues. Desync is far worse on pc.
Desync doesn’t even have a verified root cause (with rational suggestions pertaining to simple latency and optimization differences to outlandish claims suggesting the type of controller or monitor/TV someone is using) I think before we start calling this a platform issue we should examine some evidence of you being shot through a wall (standing still preferably per my request, but not required) and see if we can figure out what’s going on.
If desync was as bad on PC as you claim it to be, why have I not been shot through a wall in a way that would make me think it was fishy?
This game is broken on all platforms and the sad thing is its probably never going to be fixed.
OP - we’re going to need the video evidence. That will be the most important thing to help us understand, and help reason it out or identify a genuine issue and raise tickets ![]()
It’s not just desync I’ve legit played against the pc elite turdballs that are not only prefiring but launching grenades right as you come around the corner. There are wall hacks and it’s a complete joke.
High Latency
It’s the same with every game lol.
There are wall hacks sure, but keep in mind that audio, visual, strategy, and coordination can all play into legitimate grenade placement and even prefiring among many other things that may seem suspicious at first.
It’s easy to call hacks, it’s difficult to curate proof of these hacks being used, it’s even harder to acknowledge you may have been legitimately outplayed through functional mechanics.
You’re saying in the entirety of this game’s existence you’ve never been shot through a wall?
I think it would’ve stood out to me if I had been in the way you’ve described it.
There’s been a few times I’ve died when ducking behind cover, but from experience in many other games (and looking into why) I chalked this up to either latency or “favor” mechanics as the symptoms are near identical.
The phenomenon is actually very easily seen in Overwatch when a projectile hero shoots as they’re killed by a hitscan. The projectile hero appears to have fired off a shot on their screen, but the killcam reflects the POV from the hitscan player who’s shots are registered faster by the server due to the mechanic behind the “weapon’s” instantaneous feedback. It’s latency visualized, similar to how a player killed by ducking behind a wall can be killed on their screen but the difference in ping means that the other player was able to see and land a shot, the server registers a kill and sends the signal to terminate the player who was “killed” making it seem like they were killed behind cover. Hitreg issues are the inverse of this.
This type of thing happens and has happened in games for decades, the first time I’ve ever noticed it was way back in CoD4, but it’s been documented as early as Quake.
Being shot at through walls is something I’m eager to see though.
I’ve gotten recording of pretty bad desync on my series x. Which strangely seems to happen more in 4v4 or it’s just more noticeable.
I think what’s happening on your end is probably the same thing.
Same here.
Seems pretty consistent with the ping. Rarely happens 50ms or below. Starts to happen a couple of times a game around 150ms. Heaps when getting 200 or above.
And you get a pretty good feeling when you’ve just done it to an opponent. You shoot them before they disappear (on your screen) but you can tell from the way their body falls the server is not happy.
Desync on the other hand seems random and not so much related to ping. I don’t get a lot on my Series X. Maybe once or twice a week. Seems to happen to me more with Rocket Splash than grenades. But it does happen.
I don’t recall being able to shoot through walls man. Idk how to do that.
That would be cool though.
Nah, the guy I was playing against was just like one of those turds in warzone that use the wall hack. He knew where you were even if you were crouching
We think the OP is confusing being shot “around” corners with lag as their opponent deliberately shooting them “through” the corner.
No. I’m talking about people shooting the wall and and me dying. If you can’t see someone they shouldn’t be able to see you
I’m unaware of such a hack. I know there are definitely people who can see through walls and shoot you the moment you step out of cover.
Can you link a video? I think you’ll get better response from people if we can see what’s happening.
Yes, it’s a busy week but I’ll have the full montage ready sometime this weekend. Odd that nobody else seems to get shot through walls in this game
Further more, opponent ping can be speculated in this manner as well. If your ping is low, but you happen to die behind a wall, it’s most likely that their ping is high given the timing interruption between players.
The one guy?
You made it sound like it’s a regular occurrence.
