So whats the reason for lack of game modes

They got backlash form Halo 4 about a lack of competitive nature. So in Halo 5 they focused on improving the Competitive scene so much that they forgot theres a huge community around the more laid back game modes like fiesta, infection and grifball. They nailed the competitive but they should have included more “for fun” game modes

They didn’t even nail the competitive. There’s no ranking system unless you count that weird thing that resets every month.

But competitive actually played Oddball which was absent in Halo 5 until just a week ago. I’m not sure that covers everything.

this is probably the best way to describe it.

Me personally, I don’t play as much as I played previous Halo’s because there is no

  • KotH
  • BTB Heavies, Skirmish
  • Fiesta in match making
  • Oddball in match making
  • Regicide in match making
  • Scoring AND march making for the 4 player co-op campaign
  • Firefight or PvE game mode with match makingIf the game had even some of these, i would probably never stop playing until Halo 6.
