I’m sorry for another rank-related thread. It’s just that I have absolutely no idea about how any Halo ranking works.
Halo: Reach was my main online Halo game. I barely played any of Halo 3 online, so I don’t know what the ranks were like then. I keep seeing things like 1-50 and earning XP per playlist and I get really confused. I’m more used to a simple ranking, where you play, get XP, level up. What did they do with Halo 4?
The progression system is making a comeback, though revamped that active player, not game completion, will be the main source of income for ranking up. That will have 50 rank with 8 specialization systems to choose when you hit the 50th rank. You can find out more of the Specializations on the Halo 4 site. Short version: It’s not anything like CoD’s prestige system.
As for the Trueskill system, no one has a clue. 343 has yet to make any comment about it. All we know is that it won’t be like Halo 3’s 1-50, nor would it be like Reach’s Arena system.
