A half baked attempt to revive the Halo 4 population by slapping it over the home page, rather than focusing on the real issues.

If you supposedly get a reward for reaching a certain level in the newly released DLC playlist, it is obviously an attempt to get more people to buy the DLC(Castle map pack) = just a ploy to bleed more $$$$$$$ from the community.
You also get an avatar t-shirt from playing Spartan OPs. That’s the one I’ll be going for since I’m only a CSR 2 in Castle after trying to focus on the achievements in my first few games.

Don’t be so cynical. The avatar t-shirt is a nice reward/bonus to help celebrate the map pack and to encourage people to give it a fair trial and test it out properly over the coming week. I don’t think they ever intended it to try and persuade people to buy the map pack in the first place - people should be buying the map pack for the maps.
The blues fan is right… oh god I just said that… I personally don’t have the time and the will to deal with bad teammates and try to get a good CSR without my friends. We are all busy so I don’t really care much about Drop Shock Week.

They didnt HAVE to give anything with its purchase. They did, its good marketing and might attract some people to return. Not you or I neccasarily, but someone somewhere may want it. Either way, I dont understand the logic of paying for MAPS and being upset because something extra was with them.

Don’t be so naive. 343 is not a charity. Also, you can’t knock 343 for tugging at the cash cow. It’s how the world works.
