Aside from the obvious reviewers that trolled this game to to end for publicity, i’m wondering what your prediction is on how Halo 4 will be viewed in the months to come, even years. Will it fail into the sea as a usual game, or will it become a superstar, block buster like Halo CE? Will we all look back and say this was the second most defining moment in the series, or will it be just another game in a long series?
I don’t have a prediction yet, since i wont get it till later today.

The professional reviews have all been 8+ in score so I expect the game to be a success. Will it last longer than Reach? Yes. Yes it freaking will because Halo 4 isn’t flawed mechanically and actually will include a skill rank which will work. These were the two major issues I had with Reach but ti didn’t stop me from playing it.
Bottom line is, if you like Halo 4, play Halo 4. Don’t listen to reviews or idiots. Halo 4 will last a long time.

I agree too. Play what you like. Lots of people seem mixed about H4… like it’s flashy and new and continues a story we all like, and also, unfortunately to some, that it’s still the same Halo that’s been around for 10 years. I think that’s what’s pulling the score down for some people. I think that 343 had to play it safe with this game so that die hard gamers who are used to the Halo formula would be able to swallow and stomach it without vomiting. But I also see enough drift and direction in the story telling, that it’s probably safe to say that 343 wants to take this somewhere, not just beat the same drum everyone’s beat during the last several games. Even the the last several books were fillers in the story surrounding the time of the great Human, Covenant, Forerunner, Flood conflict., and didn’t start to really introduce newness and direction till the last two trilogies started to take off. I’d bet that during the next 5 years we’ll see the story open up and run. And with it, everything we think we thought Halo was will become so much more. I’m excited to see if the next gen console can put out the graphics we need to really take advantage of our HDTVs. I thought the cinematics in H4 looked fantastic. And if we could get the game to render and play using such graphics… man… that’s just as entertaining to watch as it would be to play… Just my two cents.
