Did 343 make any comment on why they would show off a new helmet only to tell us that we can’t have it?
First off welcome to Waypoint.
Second Bungie said that new armor can’t be added, but I haven’t heard any official statement from 343 so I have no idea what’s going on with the new helmet.

There will be NO new armour with the DLC Defiant Map pack.
There will probably be another way to access more armour, but it has not been stated.
343i and Bungie do have things still up their sleeves
Supposedly during the bungie day Livestream an employee opened the armoury & the Helmet was there showing up, it’s claimed to be called GRD, however not one of the 3,000+ viewers got a screenshot or made a clip =/

great, so we know it exists, have seen it in the armory, but we still dont have a clue what the YOINK we have to do to get it
my guess is vidmasters similar to unlocking recon in halo 3, so halo CEA probobly will come with vidmasters we need to unlock

So anyone of over 3,000 users didn’t get a video or a pic and most of them didn’t even see the helmet? Well, that just sounds really reliable.
Sarcasm aside, Bungie has no clue of the helmet either. 343i is where we should look for it.
I read rumors that Tender loins the bungie employee from bungie day had the GRD or as most people know as the B.O.B helmet in his armory. Is this true? I sure hope so

it was seen on the live feed by a LOT of perople, but nobody took a picture or something

I think I saw it but I just thought it was the normal Ranger armour.
