So what's new in Forge?

Besides magnets? Took a look last night for a brief moment and it all appears to be the same except for maybe some pipes…

Magnets…You can quickly duplicate your pieces which is useless. Probably around 20-25 new pieces… That’s about it.

Each map has its own unique structures, textures have changed, duplication of objects, and magnets.

Erosions unique structures are simply limited. Impact has some nice structures and I haven’t messed with Ravine yet.

there’s nothing actually “new” but things have been made worse.

So basically nothing new can be made design-wise that wasn’t in Reach…

There’s now a delete all function,not just the ability to delete all of a certain object.You can lock and unlock objects so you don’t accidentally move or delete an object that you’ve placed perfectly.Locked objects also won’t delete if you use the delete all function.

That’s about all I’ve noticed though.

Oh,and they still didn’t add 4x1 flat.They just copied the object list from Reach,and added some unique structures per level.

Pretty much what everyone’s said, although there have been a few things I’ve noticed.

The bottom of some objects just do not work well when flipped; it’s basically like they want pieces to be used one way in some cases.

The forge maps available <3 soft kill zones. So stay away from the water…

Not really any pieces that are to scale in the realm of us all having sprint. So with all the pieces being the same size as Reach, forgers are going to be even more hard pressed to build decent sized maps due to having to use more pieces to achieve the same flow, and alongside the claustrophobic quarters offered.

The visual effects are pretty slick when pieces are solo, but they can get too busy when you try to get creative and, heaven forbid, use two pieces in tandem.

What’s new in Forge? Lots of preset invisible walls and kill barriers blocking off most of the maps limiting the player to a small area.
