so what everyone saying is the DMR is going 2 own the Br at mid to long ranges? and the br will only win at close range sometimes??
Who said this?
Also Isn’t the dmr the long range weapon, and BR mid-range?
I think the point is both weapons have their range of dominance. DMR will beat BR at long range and the BR will beat the DMR at close range, I think the interesting times will be at mid-range when a DMR and BR go head to head; The DMR user will try and increase the distance between them to win and the BR user will try and close the gap to win and if they both stay at the same mid-range distance then it will just come down to who is a better shot (and luckier perhaps).
i always thought devs and testers suck at their own game. it’s not accurate evidence to me.
its what i have been hear from friends and other. im hopeing this is not true and hopeing someone clears this up
Both weapons will bring back old aspects of the game that were lost during h3 and Reach, and those were OBJ, support and slayers.
The BR will be used by OBJ and close range support.
The DMR will be used by Slayers setting up spawn traps and longer range support.
But mostly everyone will have both on them.
The BR has it’s own little place in the balance or weapons. BR is a burst weapon, so it’s best for med range targets, and targets that was moving. DMR is basically a sniper rifle with shorter barrel, more ammo, and smaller caliber.
What if the DMR requires precision use like the ZB-DMR and the BR allows for a more sloppy approach but doesn’t reward precision as much at farther ranges?
I have seen vids with this mentioned and they mean that it CAN be more effective not super effective
or that DMR vs BR will be no competition at all.
Just wait. You will see.
I think that they are saying that in certain instances the BR will fail, but in others, it will dominate.
