So what is "The Halo Design"

I just don’t like the phrase of “This doesn’t look like Halo”. What is the Halo design? I understand remodeling the art is seen negatively, and I am not talking about gameplay. I am talking about the art direction.

343i used Halo Infinite to capture the Halo old and new art designs into one good mesh. But I can’t help notice that anything new they create, its always seen as “Non-Halo”. For example the the shock rifle, the Covenant Kraken, the Mantis. Each were new additions and were quickly seen as not part of the art but how can you objectify that if its new?

Basically a gory as doom game with a almost scary ascetic. But in other areas its a beautiful place with gore being less noticeable because of the beauty of the surronding. The characters are simple but look like cool people you want to see more of. Like master cheif. The armors gotten complex but the halo 3 armor was (chefs kiss) perfect.

Because you expect the shock rifle to resemble something a faction\race would utilize in the Halo universe. The aesthetic don’t fit anything. That’s why everyone did a double take on AK 47’s being in the show. I’m not opposed to a shock rifle’s attributes but it seems out of place. Banished re-purpose others tech so what is this re-purposed from? The Mantis looks like it belongs in a Mech Assault or COD game. At least the Wasp looks like a derivative of a Hornet which slightly has the aesthetic of the Pelican. It looks like it belongs… Kraken’s fine in my opinion.
