What if they’re planning it per Halo game in the new trilogy where they focus on the Spartans, and Master Chief, in Halo 4, and then in Halo 5 it’s a more Elite orientated like what Halo 2 was like for both Campaign and multiplayer?
Can’t we all just be patient? If Halo 4 won’t have Elites due to it focusing on the return of Master Chief, then it would be obviously fitting for Halo 5 to be Elite, or even Covenant oriented? Perhaps we’ll play as the Arbiter? Who knows? Just wait and see.

More or less - I’m more focusing on the fact that the campaign will be Master Chief orientated, and the multiplayer will feature Spartan IV’s.
In Halo 5 it could be the simple fact that the campaign will focus on the Elites instead, or rather a specific Elite such as the Arbiter.
I’m only speculating here whilst throwing up some ideas as to why Halo 4 won’t have “playable” Elites after all.
It occurred to me that the reasons for Elites not being present in the multiplayer is due to two reasons:
Infinity is intended to be a Spartan IV training program.
Elites may not be playable due to the “new” enemies filling their previously playable status.
Maybe elites arent in multiplayer because they suddenly became twice as ugly…
I admit it would be REALLY cool if the halo 5 focused on the elites or covenant, and it would probably be my favorite game in the series, but i don’t think that’s the way 343 is taking it. Anything is possible though. I would still like to have playable elites in halo 4. I don’t want to wait for the next halo if they even have them then. 343, can’t you see how many people want to be able to play as elites? It would be so awesome if you did bring them back! I can’t tell you how excited I would be if that happened. Please seriously consider this. I think you’d be able to pull it off being the amazing team you are. Please 343, listen. for the community.
