So what have we gotten from all the free DLC?

Do not make nonconstructive posts.

i don’t have time to look up what we’ve got every month but I can tell you it was remixed maps, REQS, and that’s about it.
So tell me… If you accomplished all that in 4 months at your job… Would you still have a job? For me no… If I took 4 months to do what they’ve done I’d be fired.
343 has -Yoink- management lol

Unless of course it was their job to do just that.

We got a warzone weapon despawn fix and an awesome forge addition. You can put together buildings or whatever and save them for use on any other map, copy and paste.

OP logic. I didn’t see what we are getting but I’m going to immediately jump on the hate train for no good reason. Solid OP, just smooth.

Agree with OP. The “free dlc” has been 2 arena maps (counting January), 1 warzone/warzone assault (Noctus was in game trailers so it was withheld at launch), and about 140 reqs. EVERYTHING else was always part of halo and not “dlc”.

Just saying all the content they’ve released in the past 4 months is stuff that should of taken a month if 343 had any sense of direction or initiative

We have got about a map packs worth of content. Which normally come in about 3 months after launch

We got a ton of stuff that should’ve been in the game at launch. Nothing much.

Are people really counting delayed content and game patches/fixes as free content?

Map Packs worth of content?
Last time I remember, a “Map Packs worth of content” is 4 to 6 maps, brand new, possibly 2 remixes, a few fixes, and possibly some new gametypes.

Sounds like you paid for some DLC? No? then why are you -Yoinking!-? I mean if they made us pay for these updates then yes I could see some issue, but they are free so.

Halo2: Nov. 9, 2004
Bonus Map Pack: April 25, 2005, 2 maps
Killtacular Map Pack: June 28, 2005, 2 maps
Maptacular Map Pack: July 5, 2005 5, maps
Blastacular Map Pack: April 17, 2007, 2 maps

Halo3: Sept. 25, 2007
Heroic Map Pack: Dec. 11, 2007, 2 maps, first “Arena” Forge canvas.
Legendary Map Pack: April 15, 2008, 3 maps
Bungie Day: July 7th, 2008, 1 map
Mythic Map Pack 1: April 9, 2009 2 maps, first “multi-role” Forge canvas.
Mythic Map Pack 2: Sept. 22, 2009, 3 maps

Halo4: Nov. 6, 2012
Crimson Map Pack: Dec.10, 2012, 3 maps
Majestic Map Pack: Feb. 25, 2013, 3 maps
Castle Map Pack: April 8, 2013, 3 maps
Forge Island: March 29, 2013
Bullseye Pack: Aug. 20, 2013, 2 maps

Halo5: Oct. 27, 2015
Battle of Shadow and Light: Nov. 18, 2015, BTB mode with 4 Forged maps.
Cartopgrapher’s Gift: Dec. 16, 2015. 3 Forge canvases, 1 WZ map, 1 Arena map
Infinity’s Armory: Jan. ?, 2016, 1 WZA map, 1 Arena map

As you can see by these dates… It’s only been 82 days/2 months, 21 days, since H5 dropped… And H5 is not being more stringent than previous Halos for the this same relative timeline.

This.
Usually we got a map pack with 3 maps 3 months after launch for $10 which we only got to play those first weeks after which they disappeared from matchmaking due to some people not having the map pack.

They’re giving out smaller updates which in the same timespan of previous games result in somewhat more with the REQs and such. The only thing I can agree with is that previous games had more content to start with. Question is, was all the content previous games had as good? Preference I suppose…

Most halo map packs were 3 maps. That you could only pmay for a bout a week before they stopped showing up

I don’t know what you’ve been buying, but map packs don’t come with forge maps and remixes.

Yes they do/can. Every Halo2 DLC had contained a remade for H2 CE-map. H3 had quite a few remakes or reused asset maps. Reach had an entire 7-pack dedicated to faithfully remade but also remixed CE maps.

Halo4, seemingly the only one with the most diverse and unique maps.

I’m not sure that’s comparable though, given the fact that it had no pretense to be anything besides remade maps and was created as little more than padding/advertising material for CEA. It’s the difference between staying at one of those gimmicky hotels that exist to make you feel like you’re living in olden times and staying at a hotel that’s meant to be new but has woefully outdated amenities, you know?

Dude, a remake and a remix is nowhere near the same thing.
A movie is not being remade when it gets a director’s cut.
A song that is being covered by another band is something totally different than a DJ doing a remix.

Thank you. The ammount of falsehoods and ignorant comments are infuriating to an extent. Also dont forget breakout arena canvas

I’d imagine most people would be fired if they did the equivalent of the MCC. Maybe some things will be changed up in their management after Halo 5 didn’t do as well as expected.

Remakes are fine, I said remixes. As in Plaza and Overgrowth.
