So lets face it. This gen we got some great consoles and those consoles provided a great HD experience. We get high def visuals and superior sound. One thing i have been really looking into as of late is gaming headphones. I shrugged these off at first thinking they wouldnt be all that great. That was until i decided to build a PC and look around as some headsets so i didnt have to buy a sound system. My dad sent me an email for an offer we had at best buy. The offer was for a pair of trittons 720’s for $90 instead of $120. I immediatly went out and bought them and took them home and tried them out on my pc, and they sound pretty decent, but they came with a box that would plug into my 360 for dolby like sound. Trying these out while playing the campaign in halo reach was amazing. They had a decent base and great sound quality. I was hearing things crystal clear and things that my tv speakers just couldnt produce well enough. So this is what i have below.
Turtlebeach x42: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Turtle+Beach+-+Ear+Force+X42+Wireless+Dolby+Surround+Sound+Gaming+Headset+for+Xbox+360/4734626.p?id=1218518551368&skuId=4734626&st=Turtle%20Beach%20&cp=1&lp=6
Yeah they are wireless and take up two AAA batteries but they sound great. Not sure how the surround sound compares to other headsets but i hear many things more crystal clear than ever. I use these as my primary headset for the xbox 360
Turtle beach x12 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Turtle+Beach+-+Ear+Force+X12+Gaming+Headset+for+Xbox+360/3302112.p?id=1218394225104&skuId=3302112&st=Turtle%20Beach%20&cp=1&lp=2
The cheapest ones i won and i use these for my gaming PC. I am not a serious pc gamer so i didnt wanna go all out. But i like the bas booster and the mic is nice as well
Tritton AX 720 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Tritton+Technologies+-+AX+720+Gaming+Audio+System+for+Xbox%2C+PS3+and+Mac/Windows/9466124.p?id=1218109500597&skuId=9466124
The first gaming headset i bought back in may or april. They sound great. I dont think the mic is as good as my turle beach headsets but they are amazing. I use these with my ps3.
I use Astro A50 best thing I ever bought. The sound quality is amazing…
I use the one that i got with my xbox!!
I use Turtle Beach X12.
There very good for talking and playing games but it starts to hurt my ears after a while. So yeah, There good but your ears are in for a painful life D:
I love my Plantronics X45s, but I’m considering getting either a pair of Trittons or Astros next!
I have Turtle Beach X32s, they work fine for what I need them for. They’re also relatively cheap. I am unwilling to pay more for a headset than I did for the console, so these were a good buy for me.
I use Turtle Beach X12’s.
They have awesome sound quality, and don’t have to use batteries (They’re wired). I have absolutely no problems with the Headset…one tip, though. Make sure the wires don’t tangle.
You can also use them for PC, and they aren’t expensive ($60). I think they have a year warranty.

I love my x12’s but they wont really work for my tv so i just used them for my pc. If i wanted for them to work with my tv i would have to plug them into the stero cables. And had to sacrfice my HD video so…yeah didnt wanna do that.
I have the turtle beach x12’s. I like them because they have a nice sound quality, and work with both my PC and Xbox.
I have turtle beach x12, they don’t cost that much, and you get amazing sounds quality. I don’t have too much problems with mine, they’re comfy too. The one thing with it is the mic works a little too good.
The ones my xbox came with has failed to let me down. =)
I use Turtle Beach PX5’s. They’re great, but I want to upgrade to Astro’s.
I’m currently using a Gears of War 3 branded set of AX-720s but I’ll be transitioning to a set of Warheads when I can arrange it - as good as the 720s are the wires bug me a lot.

Looks like you and I use the same head set…
Currently rocking Turtle Beach X11’s, but I’ll probably be getting the Tritton Halo 4 wireless headset when they announce it.

ANy idea how much those will be?

Probably North of $300 unfortunately. The headset they showed off at SDCC looked pretty similar to Tritton’s Warhead model and you can bet money that whatever artwork the headset has on it will drive up the price.

same price as the astro A50. It is a licensed xbox 360 item and the first with wireless chat. Both A40 and A50 use a mic cable to your controller.
I use Turtle Beach XL1, I only got them a week or two back and they work great for me.

I guess so.
I’m thinking of getting of new gaming headsets anyway.
