So, what does everyone think of the new Elite look.

I am lets say, getting used to it, the minors look odd and lanky, the Spec ops Elite looks pretty cool.

I loved the art direction of Reach, I remember being a bit iffy on the Elites in that game at first too, when they were shown in a magazine, I came to love them, and still feel that they put the silly looking Halo 3 Elites to shame. But I don’t know these ones look pretty rag tag…

Budget cuts must’ve cost them the ability to have armor on their arms.

I like the jagged edges and overall bad-Yoink- of the Spec Op, the Minor, however, I feel has some serious proportion issues.

Well I figure it is to go with the feel of their desperation, and lack of resources at this point, I also think that these are not from the main Covenant fleet.

It’s hideous but understandable.

They look bad–Yoink-. Scary, even. I was blown away when I first saw them.

> Budget cuts must’ve cost them the ability to have armor on their arms.

This because their leader was killer and they felt it important to lower the budget now that he was no longer in charge.

The Spec-ops Elite, without a doubt, looks badass.

The Minor, not so much. Looks like he decided to enroll for the CoG army instead.

Would this thread get locked for linking to some pics??? I’d love to see this H4 content, its in a published mag so that means 343 released this stuff so I don’t see why it would be against the rules.

I would get the mag but I don’t think the store near me has GI, and I cant seem to find it on the internet.

Sounds like these elites aren’t regular covie units, more like pirates or smugglers.

Love it!

Yeah, that is what I was thinking.

Well it was kind of hinted that the Elites were not suited to the standard Covenant military armor from the article. Cortana suggested that what they encountered, was a rogue salvage ship which explains why they don’t have any armor on their arms and what not.

True, but she also then remarks that there is an entire fleet outside.

Oh yes! I forgot about that part. Thanks for that. Hmmmm just so many questions! Maybe it’s actually a whole rogue fleet perhaps? I do think the Elites look really cool though. Especially the Spec Ops Elite.

So they can afford a fleet of ships, but not armor on their arms.

> So they can afford a fleet of ships, but not armor on their arms.

They pirated the ships!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA!

I’m sorry I must completely have missed something today what are we all talking about?

It’s very different, they seem to have a rag-tag feel to them and I like it.

Maybe they’re the new heretics?
