so what does everybody think to halo 4?

personally when i play the campaign there is no breathtaking scenes like in halo 3 where you see the ark portal open or where you fly off in a pelican in the first mission. Also the campaign seems a little rushed and not even as realistic as halo 3. I don’t think the music is as powerful or the cut scenes i have not completed the story yet but a little disappointed.

I have no complaints. The game is beautiful, the music is moving, and the multiplayer so far has been fun. I’m not yet through with the campaign but from what I’ve seen I’m very impressed. I don’t think it feels rushed; perhaps you were rushing and it just felt that way. I think this campaign is the most immersing so far.

its a great game just doesn’t feel like halo anymore.

no complaints except the DMR is the clearly superior gun and it makes me pissed. Finished the campaign and it was fantastic

From a gameplay standpoint, I love it.

The sound design is terrible and the music is lackluster.

I still think the game is fantastic, but the guns just sound fake, the “heavy spartan boots” are annoying, and the announcer talks too much and his voice is weird now.

Totally enjoying the game though!

Honestly the entire first mission was a non-stop breathtaking experience for me. I have always been an avid fan of the original Metroid Prime. It was released when I was about 16, and I was so captivated by every inch of the environment and atmosphere that I played through the entire game 4 times before I moved on to anything else. Pay attention to the details of everything, and always look around your environment. This game is a tremendous achievement in video game production value - from the facial animation to the elegant lighting and shadowing technology… everything looks, sounds, and feels incredible.

Love it.

Best Halo yet, and easily the best game on the 360.

My only complaints would be the music mixing wasn’t great and ammo was scarce if you’re playing Solo Legendary. You could hardly hear it over the other sounds and it rarely “fitted” with what was happening and I had to often back track to get ammo from previous fights just so I could clear areas.

Example being the defence at the top of the hill near the door just before you meet the first Spartan IVs in campaign. 6 Promethean Knights and only 3 DMR shots…

When I first saw the game announcement, I had fears that the game would be major letdown. As the release got closer though, the more I saw, the more excited I got. I think maybe I over and underestimated it. I think the game is average so far in every aspect. I’m really disappointed with the flood game type replacing infection, no swat either. They were the two most popular game types in Reach. Regicide and Infinity Slayer aren’t bad. However, I see this as the first Halo that I will not continue to play until the release of sequential games. Reach hardly ever left my Xbox from day 1 release. It never got old, I put in well over 800 hrs. I find myself bored with halo 4, taking it out after an hr or so of play and opting for Reach or AC 3. It’s just not the traditional Halo that was so great. Not an awful game, but I just prefer the Halo of yesterday. It kinda gives you that feeling in the pit of your stomach, knowing it’ll never be the same. Before anyone responds with get use to the change or move on, that’s what made Halo great. The change is for this new era of black ops players. Halo distinguished itself for a decade as a completely different animal in comparison to today’s shooters. It was a nice and preferable difference. Now it’s become a recycled version of cod, unfortunately, with a few shreds of Halo left in it, characters, armor, etc. but that’s about te only thing left that is Halo in this game.

The campaign has you pushing buttons and ‘destroying 3 generators’ too often. A little variety in the mission objectives would have been nice.
Also I feel that the campaign will be hard to follow for those not well versed in the backstory of the Forerunners or the Didact. I didn’t have an issue here but I feel more casual players will. Or players who are only interested in the multiplayer.
The music is great but the gun sounds are soo punchy that the weapons often drown out the music.
The final part with the didact and cortana was a little hard to follow and over way too quickly. How did she put the chief in the matrix that we see them in? How was he able to get in, in the first place?
The game holds your hand in places it doesn’t need to and then leaves you wondering in places where more explanation could have really benefited the story.
Sorry for the rant but overall the game is good 8/10 for me.

seems… like everyone hates it… . … almost wondering if i should play it… lol nah i know im gonna love it!

I don’t see why so many people are complaining…the game is great. There’s only small things that I don’t like but when is there a game that is perfect?

For those complaining about playlists, ranking, theater mode, etc., you need to read the forums or weekly bulletins. They will be patching the game up often to add big updates in because they were unable to fit everything on the game as well as ran out of time.

For once, compliment the game people…jeeze

So far I absolutely love the game. It’s given me more than i can wish for. Feels good to be living out more of Master Chiefs story. My only issues would be server issues for infinity, and in the campaign the cinematic cut scenes seem a bit degraded. Right before Chief awake and the ship was being scanned as i said before the graphics were degraded somewhat. But after put into Chiefs point of view it seemed to look a bit better. Hopefully a graphical update to shine some things could be released and a server tweak

Team Swat will be adding into the playlist soon.

How is a genetic super soldier in space fighting along side aliens realistic?

True… 343 have made a total balls up with H4.
I’ve bought the game and thats it Im not buying any DLC / maps packs or anything else to do with this garbage.
Im putting Reach back in the machine where it should be.

MP is sick, after 6 games, it is a FARRRRRRR better game than reach. I cant wait to play more!

I wasn’t going to buy it at first but glad i changed my mind. The Flood mode on multiplayer is amazing

I’m halfway through the campaign (jungle mission) and I find it fresh, but can’t immerse myself with the gameplay and surroundings. The introduction to the prometheans wasn’t well done either. I didn’t feel anything when that happened. I liked the E3 version more.
The promethean weapons didn’t feel like I thought they’d feel.
What I can say about most of the game is just meh…
But perhaps that’s because I’m a bit sick and tired or wasn’t pumped enough to force myself to get immersed, though the game should do that for you.

The game really isn’t bad or something, much the opposite. When I first came through the wreckage of the FUD I was amazed and got goosebumps the whole time. The environment was so beautiful in that mission.

I don’t know everything as I didn’t play the whole campaign yet, but some things were a bit meh, while there were some good things though. I know my expectations are high and a bit too high so I’d give the game 9/10 for what I’ve seen and what I think I would be seeing later.

so far so great

the radar needs be reduced IMO
