So what constitues a "horrible" game

So what exactly makes this game “horrible”, and what the hell entitles you to a refund. Fine Halo 4 isn’t for you or you might feel like it’s not a real “halo” game, but how does that make it horrible. I don’t like COD that much but I definitely wouldn’t call it horrible. People that say this game is terrible have absolutely no ground to stand on.

On when the hell did everyone become entitled to a refund for a game they don’t like. When I was a kid, if I bought a sh*tty game, I was stuck with it. Not much you could do about it.

There’s a huge difference between voicing concerns or changes you would like to see the game go through, or being a 12 year old that has nothing better to do with their life than sit on these forums and complain about nothing w/o providing any reason.

Sorry for trolling this forums, but I’m sick of coming on here and having 90% of the posts have either Call of Duty in the thread title, or something along the lines of “go F*** yourself 343 for destroying halo and being the worst game developers ever” that title is exclusively held for EA.

Apparently anything that says “Halo” now. Most ungreatful community in ALL of gaming.

Because so many people think and want to world to be so black and white. It’s easier to make decisions and notice what’s bad and good if it was. While I’m a firm believer in acknowledging the grey area and believing in moderation.

Still, I didn’t find Halo 4 bad, I found the campaign underwhelming. It was just totally “meh” to me, I’ve done it all and anything good was countered by something bad to make it an average game.

Gotta agree. Even with how awful Reach was, compared to everything else it was still a good game. Reach was just not close to par with the other Halo games. Didn’t make it a bad game, just made it a bad Halo.

Halo 4 actually seems like it’s a pretty darn good game. They got a solid foundation and it definitely plays like a top-notch FPS, exceeding Reach by a long shot. Yes people might not like it, and yes the game has its faults, but it is a very good game regardless. Once they fix these little problems like Join in progress and stuff such as that, I feel like this game could pass Halo 3 on the list of the best Halos. Emphasis on could, Halo 3 was a very impressive game.

I also agree with the complaints. I’m all cool with legitimate, well thought out arguments, but this mindless banter needs to quit. If you have a complaint, at least make it respectful . . . both to the company AND yourself.

I hated Reach and thought it had a weak foundation. It was a good game, but not a good Halo game, IMO. Halo 4 has a strong foundation, but it needs tweaks and it’s missing some key features (Custom Game options). Otherwise, it’s a great game.

Even if you don’t like Halo 4, you can’t call it horrible. Halo 4 is not a horrible game. Mindjack is a horrible game.

Here’s what’s wrong with Mindjack. First off, the AI is broken. Some of the enemies are so badly programmed that they aren’t able to aim, and instead run around in circles firing continuously at the floor. And the AI that does work is still awful; they are incapable of doing anything more complicated than running blindly at you and firing. You can camp outside where they spawn and slaughter them as they run directly into the barrel of your weapon. Second, the story isn’t even really a story, it’s mostly just a bunch of completely unrelated events strung together in a random order, then presented to the player as if it is supposed all supposed to be connected (which it isn’t whatsoever). Third, you have to unlock the right to balance teams in multiplayer. Lastly, the feature for which the game is named, “mindjacking” (in which the player “hacks” into the brain of any NPC they please and assumes control of them), barely works, if at all. It takes forever to mindjack anyone, and since mindjacking occurs in realtime it leaves you completely vulnerable to enemy fire, and the sound that plays while you mindjack is so ludicrously loud that it can blow out your eardrums even with the volume turned way down, discouraging you from even trying to mindjack in the first place.

Now lets talk about Halo 4. Halo 4 has superbly programmed AI, and a cohesive, well-thought-out plot. The multiplayer is also balanced well enough to not only be playable, but even highly enjoyable for many people. Halo 4 is all in all a good game, if not excellent.

Anyone calling a AAA title, whether it be a Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War title or otherwise, has no idea what they are talking about.

Wow, didn’t expect this to bring up a discussion about mindjack
