Actually what I was thinking if they do they remake Halo 2 in 2014 in between Halo 4 and Halo 5 they could do the same thing. Five Halo 2 MM maps, One Firefight map(or maybe another new game mode they may have by then) and one Halo 3 map remade.
I’m really hoping for a Halo 2 remake come 2014. Its what Halo does now it seems. In between every major release there is a small one.
Halo 3 had ODST then came Halo: Reach which has Halo CEA and then Halo 4 will come and later on it will have the Halo 2 remake.
And that would be that. No need for a Halo 3 remake or any more since Halo 1 and Halo 2 were on the original xbox which Halo 3 is on the 360 like all others. So then we’d be set.

I think it was confirmed that there wouldn’t be any maps that already exist on the Xbox 360.

Everybody seems to take this list as fact, and I’ll acknowledge that here, but I’d also just like to note that only three maps are currently officially confirmed. Those are Damnation, Beaver Creek, and Hang 'Em High. Timberland is a sort of well-supported rumor, really. And I’ve asked countless people to link me to where Frank said something about a single Halo 2 map, but nobody has ever been able to, so I’m to assume that’s just a well-circulated rumor as well.
So really, all we have RIGHT NOW, is:
-Damnation
-Beaver Creek
-Hang 'Em High
-One Halo PC map
-One brand new Firefight map
-Remake
-Remake
So really, we officially know all but four of the Anniversary maps, which is to say less than half. So whether HaloFest confirms the rumors or surprises us by revealing that we were dead wrong, this should be an enlightening couple of days.

By the time 2017 rolls around, Halo 3’s presence on the Xbox 360 will be negligible. We’ll probably have our new console, and a new demand to bring all of the Halo games onto said console.

What I’ve heard from Frankie was that there won’t be with Halo CEA any map from Halo 1/2/3 already remade for Xbox 360.
There is a lot of Halo 3 maps to choose from.
i want sidewinder. it was one of the three bet along with beaver creek and blood gulch but apparently halo reach has a good enough version of blood.

Didn’t someone somewhere say that they got a cool warthog splatter on the unannounced map the other day?
That got me hyped for sidewinder. We could use a snow map.

Chiron was a great map. I wonder if they’ll add a custom user-created map from Halo Custom Edition, like Yoyorast Island, Extinction, or Hugeass.

That was mentioned in one of the past Sparkcasts, June or July, not sure which one.
