That’s a few people with similar finding now. The next question then is whether other people using the new cosmetics in your game also screws with things.

Im gonna do some more tests tonight after work and see if i can narrow down what caused me to crash.
For my first 2 hours of playing yesterday i was fine. I was equiped with the new Mirage armor and didnt crash at all for a dozen straight matches. Then i switched to the chimera armor and to the watchdog neo colors and thats when the crashing started. I didnt make the connection til this morning that it night be the chimera armor. The watchdog neo colors are grey and red. But sometimes the match would load up and my armor would be missing the red shoulder pads. And the color scheme would look white and pink during the match intro scene.
I dont know if its the chimera armor or the watchdog neo. Im gonna try playing a match tonight wirh chimera without watchdog and see what happens. And also try an older armor scheme but with watchdog neo and see if it crashes. I bet its the watchdog neo thats causing my issues though cuz tons of people were using chimera last night without crashing.
Pretty redicilous that something as simple as a color scheme could make the game unplayable for me
I encountered a really irritating bug. After just a couple of minutes of browsing armour coatings in the Armour Hall, coatings stopped rendering. I’d scroll left and right to different coatings, but the Spartan’s colour just wouldn’t change from the last one I was previewing when the bug occurs. Exiting the coatings menu revealed that all the customisation tabs were showing the wrong icon, and I couldn’t click on any of them. Apparently, my profile and the battle pass shortcut on the main menu stopped rendering too, amazing!
I restarted the game and waited for everything to load, went to browse coatings again and the same thing happened. I gave up after that. I don’t know if it’s related, but I was looking at the SPI core’s coatings when this happened…

imagine this happening at season 4 and players google if they have the same problem. Now they find a forum with other users experience the same… next season, no info about it can be found (beside the -Yoink!- called reddit). Well done 343… on so many levels.

Actually, no one will be able to even find the forums by the time season 4 comes around, because they’ll be gone long before then. Unless they changed their minds in the last couple of days, 343 are completely shutting down the forum at the end of the month.

I downloaded the game yesterday and only watched the cut scenes… Im on a Series S and the cut scenes stuttered while I was watching… not good when you’re just watching the cut scene and not playing the game.
Edit… so just played a few games no crashes, no stuttering and no setting resets. However I didn’t add any of the new armour cores.

I’m running my old armor core and I was running better last time I played. No stuttering at least made it through around 12 games or so without too many issues
My game keeps crashing and I keep getting banned for that! This isn’t my fault. There’s a minor framedrops for me too, but I’m playing in 60fps. I’m playing in a Xbox Series X! But I can’t get the challenges done and the matches done because the game keep crashing over and over again
Are using the new armor cores?
Ive been playing test matches in bot bootcamp and the game never crashes if i use the old armor cores. But the new armor called chimera is crashing my game all the time
Using a series S at 60 fps, 4k tv in game mode. Pre-update all maps and modes, menus, all ran perfectly. Now Recharge, Streets, Pit all run poorly. Armor customization menus actually have crashed my game. And, because things arent optimized it’s tough to tell if desync is any better. It feels worse.
On a bright note, the new maps do run fine, so I’m not sure where the problem lies here. I am disappointed though. I would also like to see a 4 v 4 playlist with Bandit starts so we can actually get a feel for it in a competitive setting.

I spent 2 hours running bot bootcamp tonight trying different combinations of armors and colors and it is defenitely the new armor cores and cosmetic options that are causing infinite to crash.
Not once did my game crash using old armor cores. But i did notice the game ran less smooth when using the new watchdog neo colors with an old armor core.
Using the new mirage llc armor the game only crashed a couple times. But using chimera armor causes my xbox to crash constantly. If i combine chimera with watchdog neo then it will crash every single game.
So if any of you are struggling with the game crashing, my advice is to avoid the 2 new armor cores until an update is released to fix it.
Also theses season passes are stupidly easy to level up when you use double xp boosts. Even with all the crashing and time wasting, Im already at level 50 lol

I’m on Xbox one S and there’s a huge difference since the update. My settings don’t feel right, I’m shooting at air half the time and it feels like the aim assist is hardly there anymore. It’s wacky. I wondering if I’m experiencing a framerate issue as well but it’s not an option on one S (I don’t believe anyway)
Glad I got my real 152, but jeez.
And now my surround sound is vibrating after a repulsion grenade. C’mon!!
And now my first crash…

I did some more testing as well. Only using items from previous seasons but my frame rate issues in game and in the customisation menu haven’t changed.
I haven’t had any outright crashes though and it’s at least playable when set to 120Hz, so in that respect I’m lucky.
