Do you think we deserve something in return? After all, Microsoft won’t punish Non-buyers for buying it for free. While we stand here feeling ripped of with this.
So what should it be. Microsoft Points? Armor?
I’m a Limited Edition owner. Microsoft have simply made a mistake/error in trying to fix the problem that occured earlier where LE/Map Pass owners couldn’t download it for free.
They’ve accidentally unlocked it for everyone. As long as they’re trying their hardest to fix this problem and stop anyone else downloading it for free ASAP I’m happy.
Basically, mistakes happen. I’ve got what I paid for so can’t really complain. Some people have got lucky today - just be happy for them. Like I said, as long as Microsoft are trying their hardest to fix this then that’s fine by me.
I’m certainly not going to demand compensation/free stuff. That’s pretty childish if you ask me.
I feel like we should at least get something.
I didn’t shell out $100 on thos game only to then find out the first make pack was free (even if it was a mistake) and that standard edition users get every specialization just two weeks after release.
Basically, I feel cheated.
The world isn’t perfect, deal with it.

Everybody else got what we paid for too. That’s the problem.
Think of it this way, you guys get the maps for $5 off anyways, because you bought the War Pass/Limited Edition. Not everyone got what you paid for for free, just a small amount. You guys really shouldn’t complain. Or at least I don’t think so.
I want something. The map pass and specializations were the reason I bought the LE, so I think we deserve something.

Okay, that does it. Never again will I preorder a game, buy a special edition of a game, or buy any form of season pass for a game published by Microsoft. That’s clearly what they want from a long time, “valued” customer, after all. So that’s what they’ll get. I’m just complying with what their customer service has indicated to me that they desire.

See, the problem now it that you guys are getting all three map packs for $5 less than what we paid for. That is -Yoink-, and everyone knows it.
I don’t think any compensation is required. I’m not upset about it, it just means there’s more of a chance I’ll get to play a game on the new maps.

agreed.
MS seems determined to show they don’t care about the Halo fans. Especially those willing to spend extra money up front for more stuff.
MS may have always treated Halo as a cash-cow, but Bungie always tried to show their love for the game and fans.
LE owner here, not that it means anything.
Other people being able to download Crimson DLC free doesn’t affect me in the slightest.
I also don’t feel like I’m somehow entitled to anything because of a system glitch/error/fiasco. I got what I paid for, nothing more, nothing less.

Don’t get how this can happen to be honest, the system is simple.
Redeem Code -> Download Token -> Account -> Free Download
To me this shows a complete disregard for the people who bought LE and an advanced level of tardiness on both Microsoft and 343’s part for failing to ensure the system worked as planned. A lot of people get paid a good wage to ensure satisfactory delivery of purchased product.
The people who bought LE or the map pass will not be refunded. This has happened in the past more than once and i’m pretty sure they weren’t refunded either.
I think everyone that bought the LE should get a free Halo 4 theme yoyo…

I agree, as an LE buyer we deserve something now.
And it’s funny all the people saying “deal with it”, are the people who probably got it for free.
Just to recap. This means that those who bought the pass… you know, the people trying to support MS and 343i and show some trust and faith in this game… will now pay 200 points more per map pack than those who got today’s map pack free. They’ll pay 1600 points total. We paid 2000.
I defy anyone to argue that that is fair or right…
