I’ve yet to read much about them, did a bit of searching and still I was left with more questions than answers… Though what I want to know more than anything is are the armor pieces actually going to fit the females this time?
In Reach all of them had a “one size fits all” thing going on and females got the short end of the stick. Shoulders that just aren’t even connected to the arm, leg accessories that didn’t fit the smaller thighs, even jetpacks were too big and just floated a good six inches above their backs.
Truth be told, it was annoying trying to make a female character that didn’t look like crap since all we got were over-sized hand me downs from the male Spartans.
I’m sure they will be but the problem in Reach was, the armor pieces stayed where they were on the male characters, so they were out of place on the smaller female bodies.
The leader for the spartan ops team is a female spartan, high res pictures of her have been released. it’s at 7:02 this should be what Female spartans would look like in Halo 4.

I made a thread talking about how puny the fem spartans are now. The armor just swallows her up. Reach got around this by making the females very “womanly”. They were just as tall as the males, but their thickness lay in the hips and rump section instead of their shoulders, Even though they were as tall as the males, you could spot a fem spartan right away. Now it’s gonna look like some toothpick model joined the spartan 4 program.

I think the Halo Legends approach is in order. As seen here, Kelly was notably female yet not a twig.

What you have to remember is that Kelly is a Spartan II. So this may not be the case with the Spartan-IVs
…Until she took a needle to the face. Karma is quite the -Yoink-, however fitting due to her less than…amazing driving skills. Because of that, having a nice -Yoink- is irrelevant.
I don’t know if anyone realises, but the Spartan IVs were adults at the time of there augmentations unlike the Spartan IIs and IIIs who were young teenagers, so the changes aren’t going to be as drastic, that’s why the females look so much thinner.
