So I pre-ordered Halo 4 a while ago and look forward to playing it, but I think I have less than a gig of memory on my hard drive left (I have the old school 20gb one).
I was just wondering what this 8gb is for. Is it to run the game? download spartan ops? install the game? what exactly will that 8gb be used for? It seems I’m going to have to pick up a memory stick anyway, but I was just wondering why it was 8gb specifically.
Also as a bonus question (which, like my previous question, has probably been asked a few times before, sorry). Will this Mountain Dew/Doritos XP thing be available outside of the US? I’m from the UK you see. Thanks.
Halo 4 included two discs; you install the second and everything can be launched from the first. That’s the benefit of having Microsoft making the game, they can programme it to however they like.
The 8GB, as far as I’m aware, is for Spartan Ops installations.

Basically disc two is the install disc, you play everything off the first disc.
