I admit I was really excited for this one but this morning I’ve just gone to read it and wow… Underwhelmed is an understatement.
First of all, infection??? I can’t believe people have forgotten, I remember the time that every other thread was based around needing it. We got griffball and assault, which yeh ball modes add a lot of scope to customs if that’s your thing but nothing new since in matchmaking.
So the new armour, don’t mind the first one, although from the description it’s a weak attempt at a CQB revamp but the mark v alpha… First of all this was the most pathetic attempt at a recreation I’ve seen, people have posted countless better fan made versions and I just don’t see how it could be so poor, I mean , the helmet? Really? How could the Mk V look less developed than the Mk IV already made? Ridiculous.
then the hammer, last update everyone was debating what the mythic would be, tartarus’s hammer was a good guess as it was the hammer update. And wow now we have something with its name, but oh it’s just a grav hammer with a paint job. It’s like if the prophets Bane was just an orange sword, that would be super lame, I hope one of the other variants is an actual recreation of his hammer and then I’ll stand corrected.
im looking forwards to a new warzone map, getting a bit stale now and could use a mix up, hopefully it’s been tested for exploits a bit better before its release.

I’m putting all my hopes that the briefly mentioned UI and Forge improvements are extremely extensive Gamertags viewable, Ranks viewable, Lobby Leaderboards, Post game medals, file browser, return of the party up button etc…
That’s the only thing that will make up for no game modes this update imo
Its clear there are no Game modes because there are no hidden game mode banners on the update req/map/game mode sheet for GoM there is just a blank map, game mode spots are smaller and below the map section
The theory that it could be firefight is also incorrect as that is set for release this Summer which starts June 20th
Yeh some ui improvements could maybe make up for it, but it’s not the lack of content that’s annoyed me most, it’s the BAD content they’re making, whoever the have on the armour team really need to re evaluate what they’re making, it’s just baffling how many genuinely ugly armour set there are.

Yeh I’m really pleased with the btb maps added, but we still don’t have action sack gamemodes. And yeh urban was removed because it takes them weeks to fix a few spawns…

Arena is still missing a lot of game modes
Infection, Oddball and Ricochet Which are technically in the game via customs, KOTH, fun Action Sack modes…
Hell they could even add modes like VIP Headhunter Juggernaut and SO MUCH MORE that were in previous Halo titles!
I mean come on does this game even have one flag CTF?

Fair enough…but i think they should focus on Warzone Maps too because Warzone has a huge potential. Instead of adding req’s and skins , add maps!
I mean they had so much they could of done, the amount of models and assets from other games they could simply copy and paste into the game yet don’t is just baffling. Fist of rukt was in halo 2A in glorious HD so why not just put it in, add a voids tear after effect and be done with it.
