There are plenty of tight corners if you know where to look. Hang out there and use it in place of your AR. If you are fighting farther than 20ft, you will lose. Keep close and you will be nigh unstoppable. Switching to Warzone Assault might help too.
Unless you have terrible aim and they boost to the side and 5 shot u with pistol. Then your sol and outplayed.
its better than any of those things if you are somewhat close… it is a close range weapon, so use it like one.
You kidding? The SMG (in particular the silenced SMG) is a beast in CQC. I use it to take over enemy armories constantly. I can get lucky sometimes and kill two players with one clip.
the smg is op man. Close/medium range they are dead.
I think the smg is a great weapon. I would like it to come out a little earlier than level 4, but I find I get a decent use out of it most matches so I not complaining. Thats more than I can say about my weapons with energy bayonets.
the SMG is awesome in assault, it’s pretty much an auto equip for me on defense when I’m in an armory - Sure it’s narrow, but it has it’s uses. Offense I don’t use it on Array (also for stage 2 armory) because the distance to get into the base often entails needing two full battle rifle clips - at least with how I play - I’m sure my strategies are wrong.
I wish there were good locations for assault strategies, it’s my favorite gametype by 10 miles, at least until big team shows up
Yeah the SMG is absolutely deadly.
the weapon commendations are so easy compared to previous games. You really don’t need many kills, so calm down. I always get my commendations by accident since it happens so fast.

Yeah; wait until you go for the DMR commendation, that’s the last one I need. All I have is a Recoil Jet DMR, so req level 8…

At req level 3 i switch my pistol to a br, and after that my AR to a smg. I get a decent amount of kills with it, its best for defending/attacking bases.

The difference is that the SMG is an unlimited use loadout weapon at lvl 4, which is still pretty early through the match. All those other reqs (minus the BR) are limited. There are plenty of situations in bases where the SMG is the better choice than going for the 4-shot.

I’m all about the SMG. Yeah you need to be pretty close but it tears people up once you are in range.

Really? I love the SMG, I find it such a great weapon. It wrecks vehicles standard and with the projection version it destroys even more.
The moment I hit REQ level 4 is the moment I throw the AR to the side and use the SMG.
It’s such an effective CQB weapon. Especially if you combine it with Advanced Sensor so you’ve got that sweet 40m Motion Sensor range and unless you fire your weapon, boost or sprint you won’t show up on theirs.
