So the Primary & Secondary is just for spawn?

From what I heard, you can only SPAWN with 1. AR/BR/DMR/Storm Rifle/Carbine and 1. Magnum/Plasma Pistol. However you can pick up any weapon in gameplay like normal without the stupid limitation.

I hated the idea of Primary & Secondary weapons in Halo, but if it’s for spawn only and it prevents people from spawning with a Battle Rifle+DMR combo and dominating than I’m fine with it.

That appears to be the case. I can see how having both the DMR and BR off the bat, along with faster shield regen and mobility can be a problem at the beginning. To be tough, you’ll need to build yourself up to that point and live.
