Halo 4’s OST is probably my second favorite soundtrack if not my MOST favorite sound track of the Halo series. Neil Davidge certainly resonates something within the walls of my being; every fiber of my being is in perfect sinusoidal harmony and reverberation with his music.
Personally, I would describe his work to be a hybrid of two of my favorite video games: Halo and Metroid. It has the orchestral sound mixed with a dash of electronica-dna from Metroid. So, in all, it sounds amazing to me.
I don’t normally do this with OSTs, but I actually BOUGHT it because I respect and love it so much! Today, while at my boxing gym, I turned on my Halo playlist. Whenever one of Neil’s work came on over the system, I had a flood of endorphins and adrenaline and just destroyed whatever exercise I was doing; reverberation! I got chills and goosebumps and felt so connected with Halo as a whole.
Ha, I actually started to pretend that I was Spartan undergoing hand-to-hand training (which I uh…normally do anyway, lol…)
