Not sure about anyone else, but I love logos. Sports logos, company logos, military logos, any and logos. So I tend to be a little picky and critical about a logo when it is changed. And for me, I am not digging on the new UNSC logo. I liked the simplicity of the original logo that Bungie designed. This new one looks like it is trying too hard to be something different. It could just be me, but what do other people think?
A new logo for a new era. Humanity has won the Human-Covenant war, so a new logo is a symbol of a new time.
I took a class specifically dealing with logos. The new UNSC logo would have been a class favorite. It looks more modern and it has a nice bite to it. I really love it to tell you the truth. Canonwise… It’s going to bother me that the FuD will feature the logo but I understand the reasonings.

I don’t know, compared to Bungie’s UNSC Logo, 343’s is actually much more simplistic in design, but is sleeker, more refined and art based.
Bungie’s has many lines, many little feather points such as this
Old Logo
The new logo is a simple form of either an eagle or a phoenix rising and flying up to the stars, it is much more detailed as well as retains that feel of military style and symbol.

what bothers me is that how FUD has it on the hull and how the Chief has the new versions of the BR and AR in campaign

this was explained, they are not new versions via make in the halo universe, they are just updated graphically.
Liked the old one more, but it really isn’t that much of a deal. Like the 1st guy already said. A new logo for a new era. (=
Looks good to me. It’s not a radical change, either. It’s not like 343 changed the bird into a weasel or something.

Honestly the logo of HALO 4 and 5 looks better, but yes combat has evolved
