I love what 343i is doing, it seems like they really do care about the community and maybe they will make the best Halo yet
And as far as missing vehicles, these are the ones I’d like to see.

Actually I guess I’ll just stop there, I’d like every vehicle (land and air) from Halo Wars 1/2 to be in Halo Infinite, even if you could only use some of them in forge or custom games. I say put everything you can into Infinite.
In any case I believe we will have an awesome game when fall 2021 gets here.
100% brother. I’ve been with Halo since CE and I absolutely cannot wait for Infinite. Especially since it’s a live-service game, there’s always gonna be something to work towards, a new goal. I’m stoked to come in, a Halo veteran surrounded by cross-play newbies, and show off my glorious Watchdog skin. Fingers crossed they add an epic Firefight mode too!
Cobra would be rally awesome. But thinking of BTB 2.0 I also think there might be an vehicle like the Wolverine. But if it turns out, it would be a Jackrabbit, I would be dissapointed.

I really can’t fathom why armor coatings keep being brought up. They even keep warning people that there is a specific thread to complain/talk about them. I’m sure most of them will be obtainable in game by completing something. Otherwise don’t buy them. It’s really simple. And honestly… EVERYONE<-IS RED OR BLUE 90% OF THE TIME! no hard feelings at all, I’ll throw my whole paycheck at anything 343i comes out with. But only because/if I want to. It’s not like they are making us. Last time I checked your armor color doesn’t win games or improve skill. But that new vehicle (going back to the topic) might help you win. So what’s really more important?

I don’t think it’s the majority of the community, it’s moreso the loudest ones are the people complaining. It doesn’t take rocket science to understand that coatings in the long run will give us so much more customization.
Let’s say there are five people playing Halo, and they all wear black primary and dark blue secondary colors. They’d all look the same more or less. Now, if you have 8 different versions of black and blue with a variety of patterns, wear, and material due to coatings, they may all have the same color combo but they can find what fits them best personally. You wanna wear green? You’ve got plain olive that looks battle-worn, you’ve got green and black with stripes, you’ve got green woodland camo, etc etc. This system is so much better than the standard system that we used to have. Getting rid of coatings would be a mistake. The more customization options we have, the better.

I’m actually for armor coatings, I already say camo ones so I’m pretty much sold. It really just seems like a very large amount of people are against it and nothing is really coming from 343 to fight the fire.
Like we saw with the E3 post mortem, they continue to at least say a lot of the right things that demonstrate that they have understood a lot of the criticism, but time will tell whether they can actually put those lessons into practice effectively.
Cynicism aside, it was really refreshing to hear 343 address some of my bigger concerns regarding redundancy in the sandbox and empowering the individual via the starting loadout.

It appears that it is in here, there was a poll last year it was something like 80% against 343i’s armour coatings.
Edit = I found it. It’s higher than 80%, it’s 89% want freedom of choice and 11% want 343’s armour coatings. I have nothing against the coatings, but there is not one good reason to stop us choosing our own colours for them. That’s the biggest issue imo. Allow me to pick my colours and I’ll back it 100%.
On topic, it’s good 343i are giving us updates, but many times they leave more questions than answers imo.

That poll doesn’t show how many people actually voted on it, and since there are barely 2 pages of replies it most likely wasn’t very many.
The people you see complaining on these forums don’t represent anybody’s opinions but their own, and definitely are not indicative of what the wider community wants.

Possibly. But I’ve often found the law of averages usually apply in most things. It won’t be a definite majority for sure, but I can tell you that all my friends want the oprion to choose colours. That’s 100%, others will vary, but at this time more are for choosing colours from MY findings.
Also, the poll misses an opportunity. Not one person I know is against the coatings, but they are 100% against the loss of colour choice. Imo, 343i could have been on a huge win here, but they removed freedom choice and that’s never good.
Back on topic, it’s good 343i are giving us updates, but many times they leave more questions than answers imo.
