So the dmr gets in but not the needle rifle!?

Seriously the needle rifle was the only weapon in reach that was fun to use and yet they bring in the dmr, the worst weapon in all of halo imo. i know this thread might sound like a generic nerd rage thread but i just think if they put the dmr in they should have at least included the needle rifle, it was the perfect precision weapon for me and had a tiny crosshair which i liked, does anyone else wish the needle rifle was in halo 4? it’s just a minor disappointment for me thats all :(.

i agree, the needle rifle is under-rated. Both the needle rifle and the carbine were in FUD

The DMR is back with new balances in place, with th BR, LiRi, and Carbine to balance it out also.
Needle Rifle was fun, though.

> The DMR is back with new balances in place, with th BR, LiRi, and Carbine to balance it out also.

wouldn’t have done any harm if it was included in the game imo

they will never balance the dmr, the more they mess with it the worse it will get, remember the title updates for reach? but i guess i’ll just have to stay away from the dmr and use the br instead.

Needle rifle was under powered and useless, fire more than 5 shots and your reticle inflated to the size of a beech ball.

what does FUD have to do with this?
FUD is set 30 years before Halo 4.

IMHO, the Carbine replaces the Needle Rifle.

Not much tbh, just that if people tried to say the carbine is a replacement, we could say “no - they existed at the same time and both worked well”

it definitely had a different feel to it and the main thing with covy weapon is that they do not act like contempery weapons, for example it can bounce and super combine!

They put in the carbine so there’s really no need.

> They put in the carbine so there’s really no need.

i guess its just a matter of preference, but in my case i’d choose both :stuck_out_tongue:

The carbine and needle rifle are both great weapons, but they are too similar to include at the same time. I think what it ultimately came down to was popularity - more people were excited to see the carbine return for nostalgia’s sake.

> Needle rifle was under powered and useless, fire more than 5 shots and your reticle inflated to the size of a beech ball.

the first 3 shots give next to no bloom meaning you have 3 free shots then you just pause and take another two shots for max accuraccy, the dmr blooms after a single shot making it useless.

> Needle rifle was under powered and useless, fire more than 5 shots and your reticle inflated to the size of a beech ball.

zero bloom just proved you wrong on that. it was the most OP weapon out there with and without bloom

343 obviously hasn’t given up on the Needle Rifle, or it wouldn’t have been shown in FUD. I’m fairly confident it’ll make a return in Halo 5 or 6.

> They put in the carbine so there’s really no need.

True, true. More variety is always nice though.

Yippe! lets fire 5 shots to take down someones shield then wait X amount of seconds for our bloom to reset, then lets fire…oh damn he’s gone behind a wall…

So what if we can super combine? It was still under powered…

yeah but i still liked using it, just because it’s underpowered doesn’t mean it hurts to add it in

Well, we do have the Carbine, but I can see your point that the UNSC has 2 rifles to the Covenants one. I’m really glad the Carbine returned though, loved that weapon in Halo 3.

> Needle rifle was under powered and useless, fire more than 5 shots and your reticle inflated to the size of a beech ball.

But you were able to spam the heck out of it before it bloomed. I remember getting an ovy by spamming it long range and when their shields were down, I got a headshot.

Am i the only person who didn’t care for the needle rifle at all?
