Someone previously posted a topic about a new weapon called the DMG, and many people think its a typo many think its legit, I am one of those people that think its legit, so my point is what do you rekon it stands for? if say it is legit. I think it stands for Defensive Magnum Grenade.
Personally, I think it’s the SMG.

However, the MG part usually would stand for machine gun.

yeah I guess your right, considering s and d are next to each other on the keyboard its most likely a typo. and defence magnum grenade I know it makes no sense at all, but ya know I thought it could of been the gun in the first trailer…
Nope. Pretty sure they were referring to the DMR.

Maybe it wasn’t originally created for combat, but neither was the chopper.

It could by a typo for:
DMR
SMG
Since it has been confirmed there won’t be any SMG, it’s DMR.
It obviously stands for Dark Magician Girl.
IN MULTIPLE MAGAZINES (OXM and Game informer) They have put DMG multiple times, so most likely it is not a typo, Most likely a Debris Mover Gun, witch is the rocket pistol!

I think Defensive Magnum Grenade is genius. It’s a moniker with class, and just loopy enough to fit Halo’s bill.

That title doesn’t make sense like it does with the Designated Marksman Rifle (designated FOR marksmen). What would it be designated for, and why wouldn’t that be conveyed in the weapon’s name?
I’m fairly sure it’s just a typo. It’s bad game design to name things so similarly. It just confuses people.
